Abstract: There is described a fluid flow sensor (10)for sensing a flow (F) of a fluid (120) through a region. The sensor (10) comprises a magnetic circuit (50, 60a, 60b) for applying a magnetic field (70) to the region, and electrodes (40a, 40b) for sensing a potential (V) generated in operation between the electrodes (40a, 40b) in response to the fluid (120) flowing through the magnetic field (70). Each electrode (40) includes a metal element (130; 300; 400; 500), a metal halide element (110; 310; 320; 410; 520), and an electrically conductive porous element (100; 330; 420; 530). The porous element (100; 330; 420; 530), hinders progressive loss of the metal halide element (110; 310, 320; 410; 520), to the flow (F) and provides an electrically conductive path between the flow (F) and the metal halide element (110; 310; 320; 410; 520), and thereby to the metal element (130; 300; 400; 500).
Abstract: An apparatus and method for treating wastewater are provided. The method for treating wastewater includes: a pre-treatment step of removing impurities contained in high concentration wastewater and crushing the impurities using a crusher; a first aerobic treatment step of supplying wastewater containing organic acids to a first aerobic tank and injecting air to the first aerobic tank to be aerobically treated; an anaerobic treatment step of supplying the wastewater, from which excess organic acids are removed by the aerobic treatment, to an anaerobic tank to be anaerobically treated; a degassing step of supplying the wastewater treated in the aerobic and anaerobic treatment steps to a degassing tank to remove air and gas; and a post-treatment step of precipitating the wastewater aerobically treated using a solid-liquid separation tank, a pressure floatation tank or a precipitation tank.

Abstract: An air propulsion device for laterally stabilizing a motorcycle in an upright position when stopped. The device includes a substantially rectangular shaped plate having a top, bottom, first and second opposing sides. A pair of brackets are mounted to the first and second sides of the plate for attaching the device to the motorcycle. An air-flow generator unit is integrally attached to the top of the plate for generating and controlling pneumatic pressure within the air propulsion device, and has a first and second hose attached thereto. A skirting is integrally attached to the bottom of the plate for inflating and deflating.
Abstract: A pack suitable for housing liquid and/or solid-liquid contents whose wall comprises a layer of board (3), an inner layer (2) sufficiently impermeable to create a seal between the board (3) and the pack's contents, and an outer protective layer (4,5) covering the board (3), wherein the pack's layers are microwavable and the outer layer (4, 5) is breathable.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a golf putter mainly used for a putting stoke in golf clubs. The golf putter in accordance with the present invention adds a putting information providing apparatus 4, which provides putting information to a player, to an ordinary golf putter including a head 1, a shaft 2 and a grip 3. The putting information providing apparatus 4 comprises an operation switch 41, through which a player inputs distance information from a golf ball to a hole; an LCD 46 displaying putting information; and a gradient sensor 44 providing gradient information corresponding to a tilted state when the putter is laid on a horizontal surface. The putting information providing apparatus 4 displays position information of an imaginary hole against an actual hole based on the distance information and gradient information so that the player can perform a putting stroke toward the imaginary hole.
Abstract: A magnetic transducer (109) for measuring the flow of a fluid (108) has electrodes (102) and an alternating magnetic field (107), an electrode (102) having lower noise energy at frequencies below 5 Hz than an electrode comprising carbon or corrosion-resistant metal alloy. The noise characteristic of the electrode (102) at magnetic field frequencies around 1 Hz is lower than that of an electrode comprising carbon or corrosion-resistant metal alloy.
