Abstract: An adsorbent for removing HCl from fluid streams comprising activated alumina impregnated with alkaline oxide and promoted with phosphate or organic amine or a mixture thereof. A method of making such adsorbent and a method of removing HCl from fluid streams using such adsorbent.

Abstract: A skylight guard assembly comprising a galvanized sheet metal rail having first and second side members and a cross brace member connected to the top surface of a corrugated plastic panel rib, a metal screen fixedly attached to the top of the rail to prevent the danger of injury from stepping or falling through a corrugated plastic panel skylight in a corrugated metal roof, means for connecting the metal screen to the rail, and means for attaching said rail to an adjacent corrugated metal panel, wherein the rail holds the metal screen a spaced distance above the corrugated plastic panel to avoid buildup of water and trash.

Abstract: The heat absorbing member formed by connecting the bottom portion of the inlet header (1) with that of the outlet header (2) through a heat absorbing tube installed so that the heat absorbing tube is located in a heating container (9). The heat absorbing tube (16) is comprised of a plurality of down tubes (3, 5) and down tubes (4, 6) all with lower ends closed and connected under the inlet header (1) and outlet header (2) respectively, and spiral tubes (7, 8) which connect to the bottom portion of the down tubes (3, 5) and to the top portion of the down tubes (4, 6), and wherein the spiral tubes (7, 8) are of the same length.
