  • Patent number: 6497445
Abstract: A substantially rigid tonneau cover is provided which is hingedly connectable to a truck bed and moveable between open and closed positions. A latch mechanism mounted on the interior surface of the cover is selectively engagable with the truck bed to secure the cover in the closed position. A latch release handle is mounted in a recessed compartment formed on the exterior surface of the cover and is connected to the latch mechanism. A hatch is connected to the cover proximate the latch handle and is moveable between a hatch open position and a hatch closed position. In the hatch closed position the hatch covers the recessed compartment and the latch release handle mounted therein. The hatch is preferably mounted such that in the hatch closed position the exterior surface of the hatch is generally flush with exterior surface of the cover and conforms to the contour of the cover.

  • Patent number: 6494487
Abstract: A stabilizing jack for vehicles comprises a pair of legs advanceable between retracted and extended positions by a drive assembly including a drive screw having left and right hand threaded sections. The drive screw is mounted on a slide frame which is slidably mounted to a base frame securable to a vehicle. Each leg is pivotally secured at a first end thereof to a screw follower threadably secured to a respective threaded section of the drive screw. When the legs are extended on uneven ground, one leg will engage the ground before the other preventing that leg from further downward advancement but causing the drive assembly to drive the slide frame in an opposite direction while the other leg continues to advance downward until it engages the ground.

  • Patent number: 6481374
Abstract: A deer feeder adapted for hanging in a tree is provided. The feeder includes an upright tubular feed reservoir. A feeding port angles upwardly from and communicates with the feed reservoir proximate its bottom end. In a first embodiment of the feeder, a flexible support member such as a chain is connected to the reservoir proximate its top end and so as to be engageable with the tree to suspend the feeder therefrom and a cleat extends outwardly from the feed reservoir and engages the tree trunk in order to stabilize the feeder relative to the tree. In a second embodiment, the exterior surface of the feeder is corrugated so as to include a plurality of transverse ridges separated by grooves. The feeder is connected to a tree trunk by flexible securement members which encircle the feeder and engage the grooves on the exterior surface.

  • Patent number: 6267278
Abstract: An archery bow holder having leg straps for fastening the bow holder to the calf of an archer, and a folding bow support member for supporting a lower end of a compound archery bow with a first receiver to accept an eccentric wheel thereof and a second receiver for receiving the tip of a recurve type archery bow; the bow support member being moveable between retracted and operating positions and having a brace for holding it in the operating position and a lock for holding it in the retracted position. Also included is a bowstring retainer which is designed to selectively engage the bowstring of an archery bow resting on the bow support fork. Further included is a stabilizer which is moveable between an operating position where the stabilizer engages the archer's foot and prevents the bow holder from twisting around the archer's leg and a traveling position where the stabilizer folds back around the archer's ankle so that the archer can walk unimpeded.
