  • Patent number: 8313363
Abstract: A multi-level single elimination sports tournament with wagering for a field of players divided into groups of generally equal size. Each group competes within itself in a series of play sequences, such as a series of golf holes. Each play sequence comprises at least one competitive play action toward a goal, such as one or more golf strokes toward a hole. The players wager after each play action on their expected results in the current play sequence. Players are eliminated when they can no longer meet a minimum ante on the next play sequence. A round of the tournament is completed when only a single player remains in each group. The survivors are divided into new groups for another round. This continues until a last round that has only one group. A single winner survives, and is awarded most of the pot.

  • Patent number: 8256771
Abstract: A mechanical calculator that computes payouts for combinations of roulette bets. A number wheel (50) has an array of payout numbers (54) for a combinations of two types of bets over a range of chips, such as up to 20 chips on a street bet and up to 20 chips on a line bet. A mask wheel (40) overlays the number wheel (50). Windows (44) on the mask wheel each reveal an individual number (54) on the number wheel, depending on the relative rotational positions of the mask and number wheels, which are manually selectable with knobs (28, 32). A cover plate (22) overlays the mask wheel, and has a window (26) that reveals a single combined payout number (54) on the number wheel under a mask window (1-20) and the cover plate window (26). Rotational index numbers (49, 68) indicate the number of chips selected for each bet.

  • Patent number: 7258608
Abstract: A method of playing Keno in which the quantity of numbers drawn is increased by including the integer above and/or below each number drawn, for at least some of the numbers drawn. This effectively increases the quantity of numbers drawn without requiring any additional steps by the players or modification of ball drawing equipment. For example, after drawing 20 numbers, the respective integer above each of the first 5 drawn numbers can be included in the draw. Optionally these extra numbers can be treated differently from those drawn, for example by applying to an additional bonus wager.

  • Patent number: 6722978
Abstract: The method of the present invention involves a numerical game of chance, which includes a parlay and a bonus playing option. A player selects a series of five (5) numbers from a set of eighty (80) numbers and makes a wager. The player then selects a second series of five numbers from a set of eighty numbers and makes another wager. The player then is given the option to make a combination wager whereby the first series of five numbers and second series of five numbers are combined. The gaming establishment then draws five winning numbers randomly from the set of eighty numbers. A player wins if his first series of five numbers matches the winning numbers, if his second series of five numbers matches the winning numbers or if any combination of the two series of numbers (i.e., ten numbers selected) matches the winning numbers. Additionally, bonus and parlay options are available.

  • Patent number: 6443456
Abstract: The method of the present invention involves card games in which the player plays multiple hands of cards during one play session. The cards are dealt out in horizontal fashion and may include three card, five card, seven card or higer card games. The player may wager on each horizontal row of cards dealt separately and each row of cards will be played as a separate poker game. The player may also make a separate wager (Parlay Wager) that will payoff if multiple winning hands are obtained in one play session. Additional versions of the game also provide for additional wagering. For example in a three card three hand game, the horizontal dealing of the cards are such that each row of cards are situated in sequential order so that first hand is directly over the second hand and the second hand is directly over the third so that a three card by three card matrix is created.
