  • Patent number: 8286619
Abstract: A ball projecting and training apparatus and method of use having a base, a throwing arm, an adjustable ball mount on said throwing arm, and one or more energy storage elements connected between an end of the throwing arm and an accelerator. The ball mount pivots in a direction parallel with, perpendicular to, or a combination thereof relative to the throwing arm and also locks to provide repeatable trajectories and spins. The accelerator provides additional energy to the ball when depressed by a user. A release holds the throwing arm when the apparatus is cocked and allows a user to launch a ball when desired.

  • Patent number: 8235659
Abstract: A lanced and/or slit seamed housing and method of manufacture having a peripheral rolled and lanced or punched seam between a wrapper and the housing panels. The method of manufacture utilizes similar or dissimilar sheet materials in a variety of material thicknesses and with or without coatings applied prior to formation whereby a housing is formed quickly and safely. The rolling and lancing method manufactures a blower housing with an assured and positive sealed seam between the panels and wrapper of the housing. The lances or slits maintain the integrity of the seam and prevent slippage between the wrapper and panels.

  • Patent number: 8219214
Abstract: A supervisory control and data acquisition protocol converter having encoded meter register input ports which are able to interrogate, read, and retain data stored in viscous fluid or gas meter registers which communicate with the Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) protocols and convert that data upon request to an industrial monitoring and control system protocol such as MODBUS®, DF1, EtherNet/IP™, or ADAM 4000. The present art further provides serial RS-232C and RS-485, and Ethernet ports whereby said data may be transmitted and/or the apparatus may be setup according to user defined specifications. The present art apparatus also provides industrial standard pulse (0-5 volts) and current (4-20 milliamps) inputs. The present art further provides a user configurable display which may display any or only a portion of the aforesaid data along with other user desired data. The apparatus further serves a web page over the Ethernet port with the aforesaid data populating a table.

  • Patent number: 8204240
Abstract: An apparatus and method for artificial reverberation having one or more input summing nodes receiving an input signal and which each feed a first series of delay elements and the output of which is thereafter summed, weighted, and fed back to the input summing nodes. Also, a feedback summing node which further feeds a second delay element which feeds an output with a signal which has multi-dimensional or multi-delay reverberation relative to the input signal. An alternative embodiment further feeds one or more of the first delay element outputs weighted via an output gain to an output summing node which also sums the output of the second delay element and provides a summed output having a multi-dimensional or multi-delay reverberation. The embodiment is easily and economically implemented via conventional integrated electronic circuits, a combination of analog and digital electronics, digital signal processors, microprocessors, micro-controllers, or computer algorithms.

  • Patent number: 8171766
Abstract: A pass through inline seam rollformer having a head assembly and a cradle moveably mounted with a frame. The head assembly laterally moves upon the cradle whereby a seam may be formed upon a sheet material via tooling mounted upon the head assembly. The cradle moves relative to said frame whereby the head assembly may be retracted from a pass line of the sheet material and the sheet material may move through the apparatus without interference from the head assembly. For the preferred embodiment, the tooling utilizes one or more rollers having circumferential grooves or profiles which allow a male or a female lock seam to be formed as the head assembly moves over a leading or trailing edge of the sheet material without the need to transfer the sheet material 90 degrees or remove the sheet material from a production line.

  • Patent number: 8075302
Abstract: An apparatus and method for optimally mixing and injecting a two part urethane foam which utilizes a unique mixing head having needle type valves which are specially sealed and positioned, able to provide precisely controlled amounts of constituent mixing compounds, and are further able to resist clogging. The apparatus further includes an electric-pneumatic actuation system, an unmixed compound recirculation system, and a cleaning solvent injection system which are functional while the apparatus is in use. The apparatus and method precisely controls the temperature, pressure, and delivery rates for optimum urethane mixture, viscosity, delivery, reaction time, and reliability.

  • Patent number: 7988541
Abstract: A meat pulling apparatus having a hopper and a rotating drum with a plurality of pins or rippers capable of pulling or shredding a food material. The hopper having one or more meat stops which assist in the pulling or shredding and prohibit the food material in an upper portion of the hopper from entering a lower portion of the hopper until the food material is pulled or shredded. The apparatus is capable of resting on or positioning over a receptacle which collects the pulled or shredded food product. One or more comb strips separate or clean the pulled or shredded food product from the drum and the pins or rippers. The drum is preferably rotated via the coupling of an electric motor therewith yet may utilize manual or other rotary type drives. A feed cover having a magnetic safety portion assists in food product feeding and promotes user safety.
