The signal processing chip includes a plurality of input preamplifiers, a plurality of selective second amplifiers, a subcarrier oscillator connected to the selective second amplifiers, a timing circuit connected to the subcarrier oscillator, a calibration circuit connected to the timing circuit, and a 1-of-several decoder connected to the timing circuit. Each selective second amplifier is connected to a different input preamplifier.

    Abstract: The invention is directed towards cutting inserts having a top surface, a bottom surface, at least three side surfaces extending from the top surface to the bottom surface, and a nose corner connecting two adjacent side surfaces. The intersection of the cutting insert may include an intersection of the nose corner and the top surface wherein at least a portion of the intersection defined by a multi-segment spline curve. The multi-segment spline curve may be a B-spline curve. The intersection may also be defined by two arcs at each end of the B-spline curve. The invention also includes a method of designing a turning insert having the steps of designing a nose corner with multi-segment spline curve. The multi-segment spline curve may be a B-spline curve.

The TRSS resin comprises a macroporous host copolymer and a crosslinked guest copolymer having, respectively, weak acid groups and weak base groups.     Abstract: A cutting insert for milling operations, such as, face milling, slot milling, plunge milling, and ramping operations. The cutting insert exhibits a combination of favorable cutting edge strength, and unique cutting edge geometry, thus, allowing milling operations at relatively high feed rates. The cutting insert includes at least four cutting edges, wherein at least one of the cutting edges is a convex cutting edge. Certain embodiments of square cutting inserts will have four convex cutting edges which may be connected by nose corners. The convex cutting edge may comprise at least one of a circular arc, a portion of an ellipse, a portion of a parabola, a multi-segment spline curve, a straight line, or combinations of these. Wherein the convex cutting edge comprises a circular arc, the circular arc may have a radius greater than or equal to two times a radius of the largest circle that may be inscribed on the top surface.

The upper support member may have a substantially uninterrupted convex surface that has a desired texture. The lower support member may be sized and shaped such that no portion thereof protrudes outwardly beyond the upper member to form any surfaces, pockets, etc. wherein dirt, debris, cleaning fluids, etc. may accumulate. A seal or grommet may be employed to establish a seal between the conduit and support to prevent the infiltration of dirt, debris, cleaning fluids, etc., between the conduit and the conduit support.

    Abstract: The invention relates to compositions suitable for plasma substitution comprising as a plasma expander a recombinant gelatin-like protein. Characteristic is that the gelatin-like protein can be a monomer or a polymer like a dimer, trimer or a tetramer of a human recombinant gelatin-like protein having an isolectric point of less than 8. The resulting gelatin-like proteins provide a method to control the clearance rate of a plasma expander by its molecular weight. Preferably the gelatin-like proteins have a low hydroxyproline content which prevents the composition from gelling and thus allows the use of high-molecular weight proteins in order to establish a suitable colloid osmotic pressure. An additional advantage of the gelatin-like proteins is that these avoid the risk of anaphylactic shock that exists in conjunction with the use of commercially available preparations.
