  • Patent number: 7493843
Abstract: A payload is housed in a deliverable body of a device, such as in a projectile, and this device is delivered as close as possible to a target. At the landing point, a drive system of the body is activated to take the payload directly to the target. The target is described by target coordinates, for example, which are programmed into the device before it is launched. The device itself can be steered or unsteered. The drive system installed on the body or formed by the body is variable and should occupy a minimum of space.

  • Patent number: 7489054
Abstract: The invention relates to a planar direct drive unit comprising a passive unit (1), an active unit (3), a bearing unit, and a position measuring system that is provided with a material measure and a measuring sensor which scans the material measure and supplies a position signal. The inventive positioning measuring system encompasses a moved component (7) and a quasi stationary component (8), one of which is formed by the material measure while the other one is formed by the measuring sensor. Both components are disposed outside the bearing gap (4) and at a distance from the running surface (2).

  • Patent number: 7076877
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a road-bound, horizontally fitted vehicle body with a roof unit having an outer skin and an inward facing ceiling, or an outer skin and an inward facing ceiling with a ceiling frame, whereby the roof unit is a unit ready for installation, and a basic structure having longitudinal frames and side wall columns, the ceiling and the outer skin along with the basic structure having joining configurations that mate with each other at mutual places for joining. The ceiling has at least one fitting from a group of fittings consisting of fittings for a ceiling cover, interior cladding, cushioning against impact, sun shields, an interior rear view mirror, interior lighting, wiring, operating and display elements, sliding, raising, folding, lamellar and glass roofs, and their frame parts and the drive elements, and roof hand grips.

  • Patent number: 7059958
Abstract: An elevator cabin with an integrated ventilation system. A fan is attached to the elevator cabin and a vertical side wall of the elevator cabin has a plurality of distributed ventilation holes. At least one air channel element is attached to the side wall, so that the air channel element together with the adjacent portion of the side wall forms an air channel. An adapter element is situated between the fan and an inlet opening of the air channel for guiding air from the fan into the air channel so that the air travels from the fan through the adapter element into the air channel and through the ventilation holes into the elevator cabin.

  • Patent number: 7047624
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a tag encompassing an antenna or coil that is capable of at least one of wirelessly transmitting information to remote receivers and receiving information from remote transmitters. The method includes die-cutting a coil or antenna shape from an electrically conductive flat double foil having an upper electrically conductive flat foil layer of a soft, inelastic metal and a lower synthetic film substrate layer, the die-cutting including cutting with a die-cutting tool having a single die-cutting blade which matches the desired antenna or coil shape, the blade completely perforating the upper electrically conductive flat foil and at least partially separating the lower synthetic film substrate so that a gap the distance created in the flat foil by die-cutting remains after the die-cutting tool is removed. Subsequently the cut shape is bonded with additional layers including an electronic chip module.

  • Patent number: 7021293
Abstract: An automatic control method for a load application for an internal combustion engine-generator unit. The method includes computing a first injection start at a steady-state speed by an injection start input-output map and setting this first injection start as the controlling injection start. When a load application is detected, the first injection start is shifted by the injection start correction as a function of a speed control deviation.

  • Patent number: 6554057
Abstract: A method for process monitoring during diecasting or thixotropic molding of metals in a diecasting or thixotropic molding installation which contains a casting chamber, a casting piston and a mould with a mold cavity. The method includes measuring temporal development of molding pressure p(t), determining time-related speed of the casting piston v(t); calculating energy E(t) supplied by the casting piston as a function of process time t, and calculating total energy Etot supplied by the casting piston during the diecasting or thixotropic molding process based on time-related development of the moulding pressure p(t) and the casting piston speed v(t), and using the total energy Etot as a parameter for monitoring the diecasting or thixotropic molding process.

  • Patent number: 5480332
Abstract: A multiple victim rescue device made of at least three elongate buoyant members each having two ends and at least one planar outer surface. The elongate members can be connected together at their outer planar surface so that one of the elongate members is arranged centrally between the remaining members. A tow line is fixed to one end of the central member and the other end of the central member as well as the ends of the remaining members are provided with either hooks or rings so that the ends can be connected together.
