Abstract: A light weight floor sweeper has a sweeper head mounted to an elongated handle by means of a universal pivot or universal joint which allows the floor sweeper head to easily pivot about the handle in any direction to pick up debris under over hanging cabinets or under furniture. The floor sweeper has sweeping brushes mounted around all four sides of the sweeper head to provide sweeping action when the sweeper is moved in any direction. There are corner brushes extending out from the sides of the sweeper head that reach into corners to sweep debris toward the main sweeping brushes. All of the brushes are powered by a small electric motor that drives the brushes to direct the debris into a dust-receiving tray in the sweeper head. A gasket arrangement keeps dust and debris out of the gear housings located at each of the corners of the sweeper head regardless of the direction in which the sweeper head is moving.
Abstract: An exercise equipment apparatus for isolating lower back muscles. The apparatus or device comprises main tubular support posts, secondary tubular support posts, and support feet for providing the foundation of the device. Inner tubular extensions and setting pins are used to adjust the height and length of the device to accommodate the particular size and the proper positioning of the user for the angle of strengthening desired. A removeable torso support is releaseably attached or coupled to one of the main tubular support posts. An angular setting guide is used to select or set the desired angle of use and an articulating lever attached to the removeable torso support provides an arm for stopping or setting the removeable torso support at the selected angle of use by the user.

Abstract: An automated system and method for determining drug testing. The system enters a participant or subject into the system who is to be monitored during a probationary or other program for alcohol or drug abuse offenders. The system provides a watch for the participant to wear and record sleep pattern information of the participants through their movements and intensity of those movements. The system uploads the sleep pattern information into the computer system and conducts various tests to analyze the sleep pattern information for determining if the participant or subject has been using alcohol or other drugs and should be subjected to a confirming urinalysis exam.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for modifying viruses and bacteria in a closed loop system that irradiates the fluid multiple times through the same channel. The apparatus consists of a cuvette, an irradiation station, two ultraviolet light sources, a peristaltic pump, and a bottle which are all systematically situated with respect to a housing and a cover. A plurality of power control switches controls the operation of the apparatus. This includes an on/off power switch, an on/off pump control, and ultraviolet light control switches. Timers are provided to regulate the time period the cuvette is exposed to the ultraviolet radiation within the irradiation station from the two ultraviolet light sources. The cover is also provided to enable the cuvette to be used and exposed to ultraviolet radiation within an enclosed environment.
Abstract: A hybrid blade wind turbine device formed of at least a pair of straight outer airfoil blades, and a pair of inner helical wing blades, as supported for rotation within a safety protective cage structure, which wind turbine can be mounted in the vertical, horizontal, or other aligned operational positions. The inner helical half wing blades, being preferably somewhat shorter than the length of the outer airfoil blades, act to “regularize” the swirling wind regime flowing through the hybrid wind turbine, so as to maximize the efficiency of the outer airfoil blades. The helical half wing blades can be formed of individual segmented vane segments to provide improved operational capabilities for the overall hybrid wind turbine. To best harness annualized available wind conditions, the hybrid wind turbine can be customized, through modification of the number of vane segments, the selection of the specific shape of the outer airfoil blades, and the specific operational positioning of the outer airfoil blades.
Abstract: A floor sweeper head is mounted to an elongated handle by a universal pivot or universal joint which allows the floor sweeper head to easily pivot about the handle in any direction to pick up debris under over hanging cabinets or under furniture. The floor sweeper has sweeping brushes mounted around all sides of the sweeper head to provide sweeping action in any direction. All of the brushes are powered by a small electric motor. There is a battery mounted on the elongated handle and electrical connections are provided through the elongated handle and through the universal pivot to the electric motor so that power is provided to the brushes regardless of the orientation of the elongated handle.
Abstract: A releasable hinge for attaching tonneau covers to the cargo compartment of pickup trucks. The hinge has a hinge mechanism fastened to the bottom or underside of the tonneau cover. A complementary locking tab is mounted to the cab end of the cargo compartment. The hinge mechanism has a plate with a locking tongue that is received in a locking channel in the locking tab to latch the tonneau cover to the cargo compartment. To remove the tonneau cover from the cargo compartment, the tonneau cover is raised above a predetermined angle which disengages the locking tongue from the locking channel. This allows the hinge to separate from the locking tab. Any gas struts are released from their mounting brackets and the tonneau cover can be removed from the cargo compartment.

Abstract: A locking mechanism for an embosser stamp in which the embosser stamp has an operating lever for controlling movement of the seal or embossing plates. Holes are disposed in the sides of the embosser stamp and through the operating lever. When the holes in the operating lever are aligned with the holes in the sides of the embosser stamp, a locking rod is placed through the aligned holes. Movement of the operating lever is restricted when the locking rod is inserted through the aligned holes. One end of the locking rod has a stop mechanism and the other end has a hole for receiving a lock.
Abstract: An aerial photography apparatus that comprises a remote controlled piloted aircraft, a platform, a camera, and a remote wireless transmitter for operating and controlling the apparatus. The remote controlled piloted aircraft is attached to the top side of the platform. The camera is attached to the bottom side of the platform using a rigid member having a rotatable joint. The remote controlled piloted aircraft lifts and moves the apparatus to a desired location at a specific altitude above a particular property where the panoramic aerial photograph is to be taken. Depending upon the wind forces exerted upon the remote controlled piloted aircraft and the resulting orientation of the aircraft to maintain the camera at the desired location, the rotatable joint enables the gravitational weight of the camera to naturally gravitate to a vertical orientation or position relative to the ground. Alternatively, cushions in the platform or a suspension system may be used to achieve this position for the camera.
Abstract: A self-leveling drip catcher for fluid containers. The apparatus comprises an elongated neck and a fluid containment portion at the bottom of the neck. An opening is provided in the top of the neck to releasably attach the apparatus to the fluid container. The fluid containment portion is designed to catch the fluid dispensed from the fluid container which is not received in a drinking receptacle. The fluid is received by the fluid containment portion and is collected therein. The apparatus provides a center of gravity for maintaining a level and balanced equilibrium and substantially vertical orientation when fluid is received into the fluid containment portion.
Abstract: An automated system and method for conducting a usability test. The system conducts the usability test and records events that occur on the computer screen in sync with both the video and audio of the user and creates a complete chronicle of events that occur behind the scenes in the applications and the operating system. The system, depending upon the settings specified in the configuration, also captures other input streams and then saves the complete recording of the usability test, along with all the desired events and captures, in a file format. The system allows a remote viewer to observe, in real time, the recording of the usability test and to set markers at critical moments during the recording which are to be recorded. The system also allows the manager or administrator to configure the preferences, import and analyze the usability test and recording files, and prepare presentation videos of the usability test based upon the analyzed criteria.

Abstract: An ink pad holder for use with a self-inking reciprocating hand stamp. The ink pad holder has an upper and lower compartment, with an ink pad mounted in each compartment. The ink pad holder can be inserted in the hand stamp with either ink pad facing the printing plate so that different inks can be applied to the printing plate. This allows the user greater versatility such as using the ink pad for finger printing applications by impregnating one of the ink pads with finger printing ink. Alternatively only the lower compartment may have an ink pad mounted therein with the upper compartment remaining empty for storing small items. The ink pad holder is easily removed from the hand stamp so the ink pads are easily accessible for re-inking.
