  • Patent number: 8350320
Abstract: A memory array with staggered local data/bit lines extending generally in a first direction formed in an upper surface of a substrate and memory cell access transistors extending generally upward and aligned generally atop a corresponding local data/bit line. Selected columns of the memory cell access transistors are sacrificed to define local data/bit access transistors which are interconnected with overlying low resistance global data/bit lines. The global data/bit lines provide selectable low resistance paths between memory cells and sense amplifiers. The sacrificed memory cell access transistors and staggered local data/bit lines provide increased footprints for sense amplifiers to facilitate increased circuit integration.

  • Patent number: 8347813
Abstract: A thin film deposition apparatus including a substrate mounting error detector, a chamber and a substrate support positioned in the chamber. The substrate support is configured to support a substrate. The substrate mounting error detector includes: a light source configured to provide a light beam to the substrate, such that the substrate reflects the light beam; a collimator configured to selectively pass at least a portion of the light beam reflected by the substrate; and an optical sensor configured to detect the at least a portion of the reflected light beam passed by the collimator. The detector is positioned and oriented to detect substrate position on a lowered support prior to raising the support into contact with an upper cover of a clamshell reactor arrangement. This configuration allows a thin film deposition process only if the substrate is correctly mounted on the substrate support. Thus, abnormal deposition due to a substrate mounting error is prevented in advance.

  • Patent number: 8348489
Abstract: The present invention introduces a new class of thin doubly collimating light distributing engines for use in a variety of general lighting applications, especially those benefiting from thinness. Output illumination from these slim-profile illumination systems whether square, rectangular or circular in physical aperture shape is directional, square, rectangular or circular in beam cross-section, and spatially uniform and sharply cutoff outside the system's adjustable far-field angular cone. Field coverage extends from +/?5- to +/?60-degrees and more in each meridian, including all asymmetric combinations in between, both by internal design, by addition of angle spreading film sheets, and angular tilts. Engine brightness is held to safe levels by expanding the size of the engine's output-aperture without sacrifice in the directionality of illumination. One form of the present invention has a single input light emitter, a square output aperture and the capacity to supply hundreds of lumens per engine.

  • Patent number: 8351237
Abstract: Certain embodiments provide a ferroelectric random access memory comprising a first buffer, a second buffer, a third buffer, a first controlling unit, a second controlling unit, a memory cell array, a sense amplifier circuit, and a third controlling unit. The first buffer outputs a first signal changed from a first value to a second value based on notification of power-down. The second buffer stops supply of inner clock signal with the change of the first signal from the first value to the second value. The third buffer receives an address signal corresponding to data to be read or written. The first controlling unit receives a command signal. The second controlling unit generates a basic signal that has a third value when the command signal indicates a bank active command and has a fourth value when the command signal indicates a precharge command and the first signal has the second value. The sense amplifier circuit reads data via a pair of bit lines from the memory cell corresponding to the address signal.

  • Patent number: 8348910
Abstract: An apparatus (1) for cleansing wounds (5) in which irrigant fluid from a reservoir connected to a conformable wound dressing (2) and wound exudate from the dressing are moved by a device (18) (which may be a single pump or two pumps) for moving fluid through a flow path (6, 7, 9, 10) which passes through the dressing with a means for providing simultaneous aspiration and irrigation of the wound, and means for supplying thermal energy to the fluid in the wound. The former provides a desired balance of fluid at a controlled nominal flow rate that removes materials deleterious to wound healing, while distributing materials that are beneficial in promoting wound healing over the wound bed. The latter maintains a temperature at the wound bed under the wound dressing at a level that promotes wound healing.

  • Patent number: 8352306
Abstract: Lead distribution systems and methods distribute consumer business leads received from lead sources for routing to one or more destinations that use the leads and/or forward the leads to another destination. A quality level is assessed for each lead source, based in part on a percentage of leads from the source that result in a desired business transaction with the ultimate user of the lead. The system identifies a set of most profitable destinations for each lead, while maintaining a desired overall quality level and flow rate of leads routed to each destination. Adjusting the quality ratings of the lead sources may advantageously be used to affect the placement of their leads with destinations.

  • Patent number: 8350072
Abstract: The invention provides a method for producing soluble neodymium chloride complex using neodymium chloride aqueous solution as raw material, thereby avoiding the use of anhydrous neodymium chloride, simplifying the synthesis process and reducing the cost for synthesizing neodymium chloride complex. The neodymium chloride complex produced by this method is soluble not only in polar solvent, but also in nonpolar solvent. Such neodymium chloride complex also has good dissolvability in aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent which has relatively weaker solution power, and even in aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent with 6 or less carbon atoms which has even lower solution power. Since neodymium chloride complex is soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent, its transportation may be conducted, which is convenient for industrial application and contributes to improve the utilization efficiency of rare earth.
