  • Patent number: 5816249
Abstract: A procedure for the manufacturing of an improved condom features a knitted fabric adhered to the condom. The fabric is deformed in a longitudinal sense in relation to its axle, by means of a system through which the fabric, in the shape of a tube, is introduced into a cone. Two parallel conveyor bands with fastening devices are adhered to the fabric. Once the fabric is cut through in the middle of both bands, it is conveniently guided onto the condom matrixes where elastomeric rings deform and fit it tight. The whole set thus obtained is ready to be dipped into an adhesive coating and later dried after which drying, electrically heated metallic rings cut away the remainder of the fabric that failed to adhere to the condom. Thus the latter is rolled and readied for packaging.

  • Patent number: 5769614
Abstract: A high-pressure pump having a high-pressure cylinder which has a vertically moving plunger fitted therein from the upper side thereof. The high-pressure cylinder has at least one opening in the bottommost portion thereof to allow a fluid to flow in or out of the high-pressure cylinder. A hydraulic cylinder for driving the plunger is provided on the top of the high-pressure cylinder. In addition, a migration preventing device is provided between the hydraulic cylinder and the high-pressure cylinder and in contact with the plunger driving shaft to prevent migration of a working fluid leaking out from the hydraulic cylinder to the surface of the plunger fitted in the high-pressure cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5752470
Abstract: The collapsible system can also be used for portable pet houses most types of small free standing buildings, as well as for emergency housing in times of disasters. The collapsible structure is better than a tent, because it has real walls, a roof, and has the feel of a home. The system can also be used for permanent housing, depending on building codes and types of materials used. By making the structure portable, it is easy to move from place to place. It can also cut down on cost of moving large and bulky objects, and also can cut down on packaging material. In the case of the housing, it cuts down on the cost of shipping. The record time that it takes to put up a collapsible structure also cuts down on manpower needed to set it up, thereby increasing quality control, because the collapsible structure can be made in a controlled factory environment and one can ship considerably more than what one could normally ship.

  • Patent number: 5707107
Abstract: A cover for the seat back and head rest of a motor vehicle having bucket seats is designed with the look and feel of a typical hooded sweatshirt. Features such as a "hood", "hand warmer" type pockets and a stretchable waistband enhance the illusion. The cover uses typical sweatshirt materials which have a variety of desirable characteristics. For example, a cotton facing with cotton fleece lining is hypo allergenic and has the desirable combination of stretch and absorbency. The cover also provides a venue for the display of popular logos, such as sports team names or college names in an automobile. The cover is easy to remove and install. Moreover, a "hand warmer" pocket is provided in the lumbar region in the seat back front, which may be stuffed with soft material to enchance comfort and lumbar support. Other pockets may be provided on a back side for maps or other items which may be conveniently stored within.

  • Patent number: 5681259
Abstract: An apparatus that promotes patient relaxation, reduces patient stress, and/or expedites patient recovery, in a health care facility or home-based convalescent environment. The apparatus includes a substantially glare-free visual display device with one or more open, natural, serene and, preferably, savanna-like landscape pictures. Such pictures, including large size high resolution photo-realistic images, are displayed by means of a substantially glare-free display device, such as a flexible panel of fabric material positioned near a hospital bed or a like item of furniture, in close proximity to the patient so as to give the patient the perception of being in a natural and biophilic setting. In certain embodiments of the invention, the biophilic picture is removably attached to a movable wall, partition or hospital curtain structure which forms at least part of an enclosure substantially around at least part of the hospital bed.

  • Patent number: 5662214
Abstract: A package for dispensing one or more condoms directly on a penis. The package consists of a flexible container having the general configuration of a penis with a first leak proof layer inside with the open end of the layer stretched over the outside of the container. The layer has a strip for proving penetration or unsealing. The condom is located within the layer and the open end is rolled over the outside of the container and the leak proof layer. A second leak proof layer lines the inside of the condom with the open end rolled over the first leak proof layer and the condom. To dispense the condom on a penis, the penis is inserted and the strip is pulled to unseal the condom from the first layer, permitting the penis to be removed from the container.

  • Patent number: 5647937
Abstract: A textile manufacturing apparatus to be used to manufacture a sequined textured fabric including a first and a second material film, portions of the second material film protruding through the first material films, the manufacturing apparatus being structured to cut an array of geometric shapes into a dual layer sheet formed by the first and second material films. The geometric shaped cutouts define a plurality of geometrically shaped members and a plurality of geometrically shaped apertures. Further, the manufacturing apparatus is structured to push the geometrically shaped members into a raised orientation above an upper surface of the dual layer sheet, the geometrically shaped members of the second material film protruding through the geometrically shaped apertures of the first material film.
