  • Patent number: 7252624
Abstract: A regulating apparatus for a hydraulic cylinder of a treadmill having a rotating knob with an opening formed at a top end thereof and with a neck formed at a bottom end thereof. The periphery of the neck is marked with a plurality of numbers or with colors from light to dark. An annular base includes a ring-shaped gap for dividing it into an internal and external side. The external side has a viewing window extending to the ring-shaped gap. A magnifying glass is received within the viewing window. Moreover, the internal side of the annular base is fixed atop the hydraulic cylinder. In addition, the rotating knob is fixed on the annular base in such a manner that an adjusting post projects from the opening of the regulating knob and the neck is inserted into the ring-shaped gap. Therefore, the number or the color disposed on the neck is visible from the viewing window when the cushioning force of the hydraulic cylinder is adjusted.

  • Patent number: 6967904
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic watch for sports apparatus in which the international standard weight and heartbeat reference data are saved. After input of personal data of the body weight and height, the microprocessor will calculate the difference between the real body weight and the corresponding standard weight. Thereafter, the built-in program decides an optimal exercise mode in accordance with the weight difference. Then, the exerciser is activated to execute the result. In addition, the age and the sex can be given in order for the microprocessor to calculate an optimal exercise heartbeat range in taking the international standard weight and heartbeat reference data and the difference between the real body weight and the corresponding standard weight into account. Thereafter, the built-in program decides an optimal exercise mode in accordance with the optimal exercise heartbeat range. Then, the exerciser is activated to execute the result.

  • Patent number: 6872172
Abstract: The present invention relates to an interactive boxing trainer which includes a main body, a driving unit, a control unit and a pair of boxing gloves with a respective signal transmitter. The main body contains a longitudinal slide rail, a lateral slide rail and a punched body. The punched body is driven by the driving unit and movable on the longitudinal slide rail and the lateral slide rail. Moreover, the control unit is in connection with a plurality of signal receivers provided at the upper and lower part of the main body so as to receive signals sent by the signal transmitters on the boxing gloves. Therefore, the position, speed and travelling path of the boxing gloves can be detected and processed by the control unit which then commands the driving unit to move the punched body away from the approaching punching glove.

  • Patent number: 6824503
Abstract: The invention relates to a treading exercise apparatus that includes a crank and a base. The crank is constructed as a first shaft in the middle thereof on which a bearing, a bushing and a resistance flywheel are received so that the crank rotates on a middle post of the base. Meanwhile, both sides of the first shaft are constructed as a correspondingly symmetric U-shaped treadle rod relative to the shaft which a treadle pad is rotatably received for treading movement in alternating succession. The outer side of each of the treadle rods is constructed as a second shaft. The second shafts and the first shaft are coaxially disposed along a horizontal axle line L. Moreover, the second shafts extend through side posts of the base respectively and are rotatably mounted thereon. Since the unbalanced force created by the treading movement on the crank is effectively supported, a stable treading movement can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 6824499
Abstract: The present invention relates to a control console automatically planning a personal exercise program in accordance with the physical condition measured through the whole exercise session. The control console is in connection with a heartbeat detector for any fitness equipment. A microprocessor is fitted within the control console and used to record the related change and the interactive relationship of the heartbeat value under exercise parameters of distance, speed, duration and slope during the whole exercise session whenever the operator uses the electric treadmill. Therefore, the current physical state of the certain operator can be exactly detected so as to automatically plan an optimal exercise program according to the personal physical state. In addition, this program will be saved and used for next time when the operator uses the electric treadmill again. Meanwhile, the current physical condition will be measured again so as to renew another optimal exercise program for the certain operator.

  • Patent number: 6821232
Abstract: The invention relates to a cushioning unit for an oval-tracked exercise device. A connecting element has one end pivotably attached to the elongated treadle and the other end pivotably attached to the handle bar. A lateral piece parallel to the connecting element is inwardly extended from the bottom end of the handle bars while a cushioning element is mounted on the lateral piece. When the handle bar is moved to the bottommost position, the connecting element presses against the cushioning element for achieving the expected cushioning effect, thereby preventing the operator's feet from shock caused by the reactive force of the elongated treadles.

  • Patent number: 6786853
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rear safety foot rest of a treadmill. The treadmill includes a main frame, a running bed, a front support unit and a rear support unit. Moreover, an electronic console and two handles are disposed on the main frame, while a running belt is wrapped around the running bed for an in-place rotation. In addition, the running bed is provided with a support unit coupled with a rear roller while a rear safety foot rest is fixed to the support unit. Consequently, when the tensity and the tightness of the running belt is adjusted by an adjusting spindle, the support unit and the running belt will be synchronically shifted with the rear roller so as to maintain the proper clearance between the rear safety foot rest and the running belt.

  • Patent number: 6758789
Abstract: The present invention relates to a front supporting rod, a front wheel assembly, a main frame, a deck and a rear wheel assembly. A plate extends at each of two sides of the front end of said main frame while two corresponding plate are disposed at two sides of the upper part of a longitudinal shaft of said front wheel assembly. Moreover, two soft resilient bodies are fixed between two sets of said plates. As a result, when the main frame is inclined to the side by steering the front supporting bar for creating a direction-turning effect to the front wheels, two plates at two sides of the main frame will squeeze or pull the resilient body respectively. After removal of the external force, the main frame, the front supporting bar and the front wheels restore themselves by the resilience of the resilient body.

  • Patent number: 6733422
Abstract: The present invention relates to a hidden roller of a treadmill. A hidden roller set is pivotably connected at the bottom end of both hollow support arms by means of a pivot, respectively. As a result, the hidden roller sets can be received inside the hollow support arms when the treadmill base is placed in operational state, thereby avoiding an unexpected sliding shift. To the contrary, the hidden roller sets can be taken out when the treadmill base is folded up in storage position. Thus, the rollers are in contact with the ground and work with the fixed type roller set at the rear end of the base frame. Accordingly, the treadmill can be smoothly moved.

  • Patent number: 6666114
Abstract: The present invention relates to a magnetic connecting tube for a screwdriver head with a main body, a push element, a spring element, a fastening ring, a block member and an engaging element. The main body having an engaging hole at one end thereof for receiving a hexagonal head which is secured by the engaging element in position. The main body includes under the engaging hole a through hole in which two permanent magnets are so arranged that the repulsive poles face to each other. When the hexagonal head is inserted into the engaging hole, it presses against the upper permanent magnet. In order to drive out the hexagonal head by means of the effect of the push element and the engaging element, the repulsive force between the permanent magnets is utilized to repel the hexagonal head out of the engaging hole. Meanwhile, the upper permanent magnet has the magnetic force to attract the hexagonal head such that the hexagonal head can be firmly attached and can't fall out of the engaging hole.
