  • Patent number: 4655982
Abstract: A method for the continuous production of plates and/or shaped bodies of fibre reinforced hydraulic setting masses is described in which the mass is provided in a predetermined thickness over the entire width of the plate to be produced, on a substrate continuously moved by a belt. Fibre cuttings from a cutting device are dispersed in a desired distribution onto the surface of the mass moving with the substrate and these are subsequently incorporated into the mass by a tool acting uniformly over the entire width of the mass. The raw plate can be further processed in its still deformable condition and brought into a desired final shape.

  • Patent number: 4655919
Abstract: The filter comprises a pressure vessel, which contains vertically spaced apart partitions for supporting respective layers of a particulate filtering material. In order to ensure that the result of the filtration will not be influenced by fluctuations of the flow, pressure and temperature conditions of the solids-laden fluid to be filtered, each layer of filtering material is enclosed by a sheath, which is permeable to the fluid to be filtered and impermeable to the filtering material and which together with said filtering material constitutes a filtering package, which is engaged at its top and bottom by two of said partitions and is compressed by said partitions under constant pressure. The partitions engaging each of said filtering packages at its top and bottom define with said filtering package passages for the supply of said solids-laden fluid to said filtering package and for withdrawing filtrate from said package.

  • Patent number: 4651429
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for locking in a set position along arched tape (5) preferably intended for measuring and marking. The tape is guided in a trough-shaped member (10) constituting one part of a locking mechanism and in which the tape is oriented with its convex side facing away from the bottom of the member. An elastically deformable locking member (17) constituting a second part of said locking mechanism has a part (16) displaceably disposed in a direction towards and away from the convex side of the tape guided in the trough. When the locking means is enabled, the part (16) has a radius of curvature substantially corresponding to that of the arched tape, and this radius of curvature may be different from the radius of curvature of the tape in the disabled state. The thin edges of the tape (5) will thus be urged against the corners of the trough, whereby an effective lock is obtained between the tape and the trough-shaped member in the region of the elastically deformable tape.

  • Patent number: 4652236
Abstract: An atmospheric gas burner assembly comprises a burner tube defining a multiplicity of gas outlet ports and an element reducing the flame temperature and, hence, the emission of oxides of nitrogen disposed above the burner tube in the flame area. To optimize the reduction of NO.sub.x emission without affecting permitted CO values and to render the values of reduction in NO.sub.x emissions largely independent of the geometry of the surrounding combustion chamber so as to obtain reproducible emission reduction values, the reducing element is constituted by a multiplicity of fins confining the flames in shafts extending therebetween, the fins extending perpendicularly above the tube and being distributed along the tube.

  • Patent number: 4645009
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for producing and dispensing extinguishing fluids mixed with adjuvants. The adjuvants are drawn in by suction in a metered manner and fed to a suction or intake pipe of an extinguishing fluid pump. A partial volume of the extinguishing fluid proportional to the quantity of extinguishing fluid conveyed in the delivery pipe is withdrawn from the delivery pipe. A negative pressure is generated thereby, by means of which the adjuvant is drawn in by suction and mixed with the extinguishing fluid. The extinguishing fluid mixed with additive is then fed to the suction or intake pipe of the extinguishing fluid pump.
