Abstract: There is disclosed a new and improved apparatus and method for forming a cast-in-place and on-the-ground support system. The support system is especially useful in maintaining a levelled and secure undercarriage structure for dwellings. The support system consists of unitized foundation assemblies. A given assembly is comprised of a flexible fabric container, disposed to ground surface, that contains a cementitious material or binder having a pier partly embedded within the cementitious material. There is further disclosed a new and useful foundation assembly for a perimeter beam which is comprised of a flexible fabric container, situated on ground surface, that is furnished with a cementitious material having a stanchion partially embedded within the cementitious material.
Abstract: The present invention relates to nonirritating, environmentally friendly, and aqueous detergent compositions suitable in the removal of numerous unwanted deposits from a wide range of substrates. Selectively, a fragrant material can be added to these compositions rendering them adequate as a skin degreaser for users who perform work on oily and/or greasy machine parts. Similarly, a chemotherapeutic agent and a fragrant material may be added to these compositions making them effective as a presurgical scrub for surgeons. Further, a vegetable oil, such as sweet-scented sunflower oil containing vitamin E and rich in unsaturated glycerides, may be added, in a minuscule amount, to these compositions to produce a very light-fatted soap.
Abstract: A two-part clamping assembly and method for applying the clamping assembly to intersecting I-beams is disclosed. The clamping assembly is particularly beneficial at uniting the undercarriage I-beams of a mobile dwelling to intersectingly smaller I-beams of an auxiliary support system, during moderate and/or severe seismic disturbances. The clamping assembly includes a two-part connector designed to tightly engage the upper flange of the lower and smaller I-beam in such a manner that a clamp-lip horizontally protrudes over and is parallel to the bottom flange of the upper undercarriage I-beam. The clamp-lip is engaged at the bottom flange to the undercarriage I-beam, in the event of an earthquake, enabling the undercarriage I-beams to pickup the auxiliary support system. At the cessation of quake conditions, the undercarriage I-beams are reposited to the I-beam of the auxiliary and emergency support system.
Abstract: A portable baseball and/or softball pitching practice system for a pitcher. The practice system includes a pitching target with ball capture and collector means, and a removable target screen having a visual display painted on the screen. The pitching target is connected by a measuring cord to a pitcher's mound. The measuring cord functions to assist the pitcher in establishing a regulated and standard distance from target-to-pitcher. The pitcher's mound is equipped with training indicators that include a rearwardly located embossed rubber bar, a set of forwardly situated Velcro stripes, and a footprint insignia situated on top of the Velcro stripes.
Abstract: A support system, which has support/brace units, for restraining the several mobile sections through their undercarriage I-beams of a mobile or manufactured home, against lateral movement during ground movement, tremors or vibrations. The support system includes a plurality or series of support/brace units, wherein each support unit comprises a pair of vertically adjustable piers clampingly interconnected to a horizontal tie-rod at the junction of two parallel and adjacent I-beams from separate mobile sections. In an alternative embodiment, a single tie-rod may unite two piers at their collars while the piers vertically support adjacently parallel I-beams.
