  • Patent number: 4249709
Abstract: A mechanism for the automatic respooling of safety belts including a belt spindle rotatable in a housing and including a roll-up spring tensioned by the pull out of the belt and engaged by the belt spindle, and a friction brake relieving the belt pull back force. The friction brake including a first friction element connected to the belt spindle and a second friction element rotatably mounted and continuously in frictional engagement with the first friction element, and wherein the second friction element is fixed in angular relationship on the housing by means of a stop lever. The apparatus further comprises an automatically-functioning two-arm stop lever having a slot which is disposed about a pivot pin attached to said housing and said lever is pivoted on said pin and displaced or movable along said slot.

  • Patent number: 4249989
Abstract: A condenser for isolating solid substances from a vapor and gas mixture and pulps comprises a vertical cylindrical casing having a conical bottom and a vertical rotary drum accommodated in the casing and adjoining with its outer periphery to vertically extending internal protrusions of the casing walls in such a manner that the drum and the protrusions form a vertical transversal partition wall which is in a spaced relationship with respect to the casing bottom, and the interior of the casing represents a U-shaped space. Pipes for admission of a vapor and gas mixture and a pulp that does not contain rare-earth metals are provided in the upper portion of one inlet branch of the U-shaped space, and a pipe for discharge of the vapor and gas mixture cleaned from solid substances is provided in the upper portion of the other outlet branch of the U-shaped space. A pipe for removal of solid substances is provided in the lower portion of the conical bottom.

  • Patent number: 4194137
Abstract: A device for delivering cryogen to a superconducting winding of a cryogen-cooled electrical machine comprising a pipe articulated along the axis of the electrical machine and intended to deliver cryogen. One end of said pipe is located in a rotary chamber which communicates through channels with the space of the electrical machine, and said space accommodating its superconducting winding. The said chamber accommodates a needle installed along the chamber axis, and the length of said needle is of sufficient length such that in the advanced position of said cryogen delivering pipe said needle reaches the end of the pipe. The layout of the electrical machine increases the reliability and effectiveness of the device for delivering cryogen to the superconducting winding, simplifies the design of the device and raises the efficiency of the electrical machine.
