  • Patent number: 8308083
Abstract: An air spray gun for paint has a tubular body, having an integral screw thread receiving a threaded collar. This secures an air cap against the end of the tube. The air cap has four horns, formed with obliquely inwards directed bores, for patterning the spray, by impinging on it from opposite sides in a manner analogous to that of known air caps having two horns. Behind the air cap in the tube is an air distributor for distributing air to either or both of the pairs of air horns as required to patterning of the paint spray. Paint flow is controlled by a needle withdrawable from a paint nozzle. The needle is in two parts, a front interchangeable part and a rear part connected to the trigger.

  • Patent number: 8292122
Abstract: A fluid containing and dispersing apparatus comprising, a primary fluid containing chamber and a secondary mass containing chamber, wherein said primary fluid containing chamber is primarily intended to contain fluids (such as water) and said secondary chamber is primarily intended to contain other matter used as gardening supplements (fertilizers and the like) for plants. The instant invention provides user a means to avoid direct contact with such supplements, which is advantageous as these supplements often comprise chemicals. In one embodiment the invention features a substantially flexible nozzle with removable fluid distribution heads, external chambers for carrying supplies and equipment. Another embodiment comprises an easy to use pump with a fluid measuring display and a time recording feature. Another embodiment features a solid matter containment chamber without said pump apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8177187
Abstract: A valve for restricting and closing plastic tubing, comprising a base having a surface for holding a plastics tube, two side guides extending from the base, a top provided with a restriction member and means for raising and lowering the restriction member on to a seat. One of the side guides is pivotally connected to the base and connectable to the top. The top having a bifurcation to accept the guide, a seat being provided on the bifurcation to hold a head on the side guide. The valve can be placed round a plastics tube and the restriction member positioned to set the flow through the tube. To remove the valve from the tubing, depression of the top releases the head of the side guide from its seat opening the valve.

  • Patent number: 8170894
Abstract: The instant invention involves a method for determining the expected presence of disruptive business process innovations by performing various nonlinear dynamic processes and analysis with both expected data values and referenced data values. After processing the necessary data, the method allows for the prediction of said disruptive business processes innovations (i.e. innovations that have a game changing effect on the market or markets to which the innovation belongs). After determining the presence or non-presence of any disruptive business process innovations, the method comprises steps for providing advice to users of said method. Further, the instant invention encompasses variants of its method that are facilitated by the use of at least one computing machine.

  • Patent number: 8141481
Abstract: A bin suitable for mounting within a rigid enclosure, such as a cupboard, includes; a first section, which may be mounted within an enclosure, connected via a hinge to a second section, onto which a cupboard door may be mounted. Contents placed between first section and second section, when in the open position, are then compacted as second section is rotated closed. The invention may include a magnetic closure mechanism that offers a strong retaining force compared to that required to open the bin, and does so in a way that does not affect the external appearance of door mounted upon second section.

  • Patent number: 8109304
Abstract: A nimble and free moving guide and support apparatus for hand-held cutting devices. The device utilizes vertical support members to maintain contact with a work surface, while a base plate maintains contact with the material to be cut. Above said base plate is mounted a cutting device, such as a router, where the cutting members of said cutting device pass through an opening in said base plate. The nimbleness and free movement of this apparatus are provided by a movement mechanism, such as a ball bearing housed at the end of the vertical support members.
