Abstract: A steam reformer is use in a fuel processor system to create a water gas shift reaction between a hydrocarbon fuel and water. A hydrocarbon fuel and water are provided. The water is heated to superheated steam. The hydrocarbon fuel is mixed with the superheated steam to produce a vaporized fuel/steam mixture. The vaporized fuel/steam mixture is directed into a gap space between concentric tubes. The gap space between the separate surfaces is very small. Within this confined gap space, the outer concentric tube is heated to maintain a reaction temperature range that induces the water gas shift reaction. The water gas shift reaction produces reactant gases that include hydrogen gas and contaminant gases. At least some of the contaminant gases are burned to heat the gap space.

Abstract: A device and method of cutting soft food material. The cutting is performed by an arrangement of cutting wire or ribbon that is pulled taut across a supporting frame. The cuts are made while the food material is lightly compressed and confined in a press. The press consists of a compression chamber having a bottom surface. The cutter is placed at the bottom of the compression chamber. Food material is then placed into the compression chamber atop the cutter. A compression plate is placed over the food material. The compression plate is pressed down to compress the food material. The compression squeezes the food material and liberates any excess fluids that may be present within the food material. This conditions the food material. The cutter is then pulled through the conditioned food.
Abstract: A window covering system used to adjust the position of window covers. Each cover hangs from a support that includes a roller. The covers are adjusted in position by the rotation of the roller. A slave gear is attached to each roller to facilitate rotation. A drive gear is provided that is sized to intermesh with each of the slave gears on the rollers. An adjustment mechanism is provided for rotating the drive gear. A second adjustment mechanism is provided for selectively moving the drive gear between various positions. Abstract: An assembly that includes a bottle, a bottle cap and a tool for removing the bottle cap. A pry tool is provided having a lever tab, a thumb tab and a prying catch. A flexible restraint is used to attach the pry tool to the neck of the bottler. The flexible restraint passes into a groove formed in part by the presence of the bottle cap. The pry tool is free to rotate about the connection point between an engaged position, wherein the pry tool engages the cap, and a disengaged position wherein the pry tool is disengaged from the cap. When the pry tool is in its engaged position, the pry tool will pry open the cap when an upward force is applied to the thumb tab of the pry tool. This configuration enables a container to be held in one hand and opened.
Abstract: A system and method of customizing a flush toilet to help train an animal to utilize the toilet when making waste. A primary tray is provided. The primary tray is placed over the toilet. An opening is formed in the primary tray. If a pet in training becomes tentative, the opening is reduced in size or eliminated by the use of a supplemental tray. The supplemental tray is sized to cover only the part of the primary tray that holds litter. With the litter removed, the supplemental tray is placed atop or under the primary tray. If no opening is desired, no opening is formed. If a smaller opening is desired, an opening of the appropriate size is made in the supplemental tray. The supplemental tray is then filled with litter and is used to train an animal as if it were part of the primary tray.
Abstract: A case assembly for holding a selection of paintbrushes of the type having bristles bound to a handle with a metal band. The case assembly has ventilation openings that provide ventilation to the interior of the case. A support board is provided that is sized to fit within the interior of the case. At least one magnet is coupled to each support board. Each magnet attracts the metal bands of the paintbrushes, therein attaching the paintbrushes to each support board. By attaching the paintbrushes to the support boards with magnetism, the bristles of the paintbrushes remain unconfined. Furthermore, the paintbrushes can be attached in any orientation, such as a bristle-down orientation. This prevents water from gathering near the metal bands of the paintbrushes and causing rust.
Abstract: A game assembly and method of adding additional randomness to a game that uses a deck of cards during play. Abstract: A mounting assembly that is used to attach an alternate material railing system to an underlying flat surface. The mounting assembly attaches to the underlying flat surface so that the mounting assembly extends vertically upwardly from the flat surface. A hollow post from the railing system is then placed over the mounting assembly and is attached to the mounting assembly. The mounting assembly therefore acts as an intermediate connector that joins a hollow post to an underlying flat surface. The mounting assembly itself has a base plate and a vertical structure extending upwardly from the base plate. The base plate is attached to the underlying flat surface with a mechanical fastener. The hollow post of the synthetic railing system is placed over the mounting assembly, wherein the vertical structure engages the inside of the hollow post and holds the hollow post in a vertical orientation.
