Abstract: A yarn package forming machine for winding a yarn on a bobbin to form a yarn package on the bobbin, comprising: a stationary frame structure; a pair of supporting arms, rocking means, a pair of bobbin holders, a friction roller, yarn traversing means, yarn releasing means, and yarn end forming means. The yarn end forming means comprises a yarn transferring member, a yarn retaining unit and a yarn cutting unit to form a yarn end portion including a first trailing yarn end portion trailing to a bunch winding portion formed by the yarn releasing means to be wound on the full yarn package at a predetermined angle with respect to the axis of the bobbin, and a second trailing yarn end portion to be wound axially outwardly of the full yarn package on the bobbin.

Abstract: In a method of teasing a mare to ovulation, an audio tape recording is made of the voice of a sexually aroused stallion or gelded teaser. The tape is repeatedly played in the vicinity of the mare over a period of several days to stimulate the mare to ovulation.

Abstract: A coaxial connector is provided for a coaxial cable having an inner conductor, a dielectric member and an outer conductor which is made of a metal thin film. The coaxial connector comprises a connector pin electrically connected to the inner conductor, a cylindrical connector body formed with a through bore having part of said connector member and one end portion of the coaxial cable received therein, a cylindrical housing rotatably mounted around and in concentric and radially spaced relation with the cylindrical connector body so as to have the cylindrical connector body and the coaxial cable held at a standstill to each other, a tubular conductor having a cylindrical wall portion having a thickness larger than that of the outer conductor of the coaxial cable. The tubular conductor is interposed between the inner surface of the body and the outer surface of the coaxial cable in concentric and radially spaced relation therewith.

Abstract: In cellular telephone handset having an upper casing and a lower casing, liquid crystal display screens with touch sensitive overlays are provided on each casing. In one mode of operation, the screen on the lower casing will display a telephone keypad and the telephone handset will respond to the touching of the keys from the telephone keypad to dial telephone numbers and will display information on the screen on the upper casing. In a second mode of operation, the screen on the upper casing will display function keys and the telephone handset will respond to the touching of the function keys and will display information on the screen on the lower casing.

Abstract: A waterproof outer garment comprises one piece of material wrappable around the wearer between the knees and the back, with edges overlapping and securable to one another by quick locking and quick release fasteners. The edges are securable in varying amounts of overlap to adjust the garment to the size of the wearer, and suspenders prevent the garment slipping down on the wearer. In one embodiment, the entire garment is made from a material impervious to the ingress of water. In another embodiment, portions of the garment which are not subject to contact under pressure with snow and water are made of a lighter weight material which need not be waterproof. Garments according to the present invention which are made partly from non-waterproof material can be made lighter, more comfortable and perhaps more stylish than garments made entirely from waterproof material.

Abstract: An open grill assembly, with a radiant heating sheet, can be assembled together into a rigid grill, with rods forming a frame supporting the radiant sheet and the grid in a spaced apart relationship. The components can be disassembled into a compact bundle, preferably a flat bundle. When assembled, in a preferred embodiment, the radiant heating sheet is adapted to rest on the top of the burner, so that the rods forming the frame need not touch the ground, allowing a single, economical design to be used with most, and perhaps all, commercially available burners. In operation, the burner heats the radiant heating sheet and radiant heat from the sheet cooks food on the grid.

Abstract: A process for removing bulk material from a gastight silo. At the silo outlet (10) a container is connected in a gastight arrangement with an input valve and an output valve (12, 13) through which the container is evacuated before the bulk material is removed. In addition, a gastight membrane (20) is fitted in the container (11) in order to seal off the bulk material from the surroundings during the initial stages of the removal operation.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the drive system for double seat valves comprising two individually movable closure members which, in addition to the open position, can each be individually moved into a partial open position. The object of the invention is to construct a device which is easy to assemble and is space-saving and which should be able to provide externally adjustable, partial lift stops for both closure members. Said object is attained in that a piston (107) of a first individual adjustment device (1b) for the partial open position (T1) of the independently driven closure member (4) is displaceably arranged, to form a seal, externally in a drive housing (100) of the drive device (1), and a piston (108) of a second individual adjustment device (1c) for the partial open position (T2) of the dependently driven closure member (5) is displaceably arranged, to form a seal, externally in a cylindrical recess (107a) of the piston (107), which recess faces a main adjustment device (1a).

Abstract: Herein disclosed is an apparatus mounted on a vehicle for assisting a vehicle driver in carefully driving. The apparatus comprises data obtaining means for obtaining vehicle movement data indicative of a movement of the vehicle, estimating means for estimating a current location of the vehicle on the basis of the vehicle movement data obtained by the data obtaining means, information providing means for providing the vehicle driver with guide information as to the current location of the vehicle estimated by the estimating means, and judging means for judging whether travel of the vehicle is anomalous or not, on the basis of the vehicle movement data obtained by the obtaining means. The information providing means is operated to provide the vehicle driver with attention information that the travel of the vehicle is anomalous when the judging means judges that the travel of the vehicle is anomalous.

Abstract: The screening arrangement, in particular a Venetian blind, is intended for installation in a roof window and comprises a screening length having a number of mutually connected elements as well as profile lists to be mounted on each of the side members of the sash and each having a track for receiving a structure displaceable along the track, the structure comprising a spring housing and a slide shoe. The slide shoe is provided with an abutment surface for the elements of the screening length during their gathering during raising of the screening arrangement. A bottom list of the screening length facing the bottom member of the frame is connected at each end with the displaceable structure and loaded in the direction of the bottom member of the sash by a coil spring rotatably mounted in the spring housing, the uncoiled portion of the spring extending in the track in question from the displaceable structure to a fixing point at the bottom member of the sash.

Abstract: In a spectroscopic instrument having a spherical grating to disperse incident light into a spectrum, the grating is oscillated on axis to scan the light passing through an exit slit through the spectrum or a portion of the spectrum. The axis of rotation of the grating is shifted to be displaced from tangent to the center of the spherical grating so that the light passing through the exit slit is substantially focused throughout the spectrum scanned by the instrument. The grating is mounted in the holder to shift the center of gravity of the grating and the holder to be on the axis on which the grating is pivoted.

Abstract: Porous products of thermoplastic polymers and the like are formed by sintering pellets, especially micropellets and/or pellets made by rapid water quenched pelletizing of the polymers, such as by underwater pelletizing or water ring pelletizing. The pellets are of a uniform size and shape, each having approximately equal dimensions along three mutually perpendicular axes, thereby producing porous products having smooth surfaces, narrow pore size distributions, greater strength and other improved characteristics. The porous products include antiperspirant and deodorant applicator heads, wastewater treatment bubblers and selective filters.

Abstract: The invention concerns a cleanable scraper station which is designed as a dispatch/receive station (1;1*) and through which the product or cleaning agent flows. The aim of the invention is to improve the cleanability of the scraper station compared with prior art devices, as measured by increased throughput, and in particular to ensure through cleaning of the entire scraper surface. Abstract: A digital computer system capable of processing two or more computer instructions in parallel and having a cache storage unit for temporarily storing machine-level computer instructions in their journey from a higher-level storage unit of the computer system to the functional units which process the instructions. The computer system includes an instruction compounding unit located intermediate to the higher-level storage unit and the cache storage unit for analyzing the instructions and generating for to each instruction a compounding information which indicates whether or not that instruction may be processed in parallel with one or more neighboring instructions in the instruction stream. These tagged instructions are then stored in the cache unit with the compounding information. The computer system further includes a plurality of functional instruction processing units which operate in parallel with one another. The instructions supplied to these functional units are obtained from the cache storage unit.

Abstract: A data processing system has a processing unit and a memory which provides a common pool of physical storage. This storage is initially assigned as either main storage or expanded storage during power on. Subsequent to the initial assignment, storage assigned as main storage or expanded storage may be unassigned and thus returned to the common pool. Once returned to the common pool, the storage may be reassigned as either main storage or expanded storage. The storage reassignment is done dynamically without requiring a reset action and transparent to the operating system and any active application programs.
