Abstract: A method of manufacturing an integral reverse buckling fluid pressure rupturable apparatus comprised of a support body formed of a ductile material having opposite ends and having a recess extending inwardly from one of the opposite ends, the internal terminus of the recess being positioned in close proximity to the other of the opposite ends of the body or to the terminus of another recess extending inwardly from the other of the opposite ends, whereby a relatively thin integral concave-convex rupturable portion is formed in the body having a known reverse buckling rupture pressure.
Abstract: An improved self-propelled floating dredging apparatus including a buoyant hull structure carrying a pilot house and engine compartment. The buoyant hull comprises a pair of longitudinally aligned parallel pontoons to provide flotation. A rigid boom structure extends forwardly from the medial portion of the hull structure and is adapted to pivot about a horizontal axis, from a horizontal position to a submerged position, in response to the action of a pair of power cylinders and an interconnecting linkage. A diesel engine in the engine compartment drives a centrifugal dredging pump and a hydraulic fluid pump. A hydraulically driven, steerable water jet propulsion assembly is mounted on a transom at the aft end portion of the hull structure. A hydraulically driven cable winch mechanism is also mounted on the hull structure.

Abstract: A system for filtering stack gases and the like comprising an in-feed exhaust duct and a pair of filter vat cleaners disposed on opposite sides of the in-feed exhaust duct and horizontally spaced therefrom. A track assembly extends horizontally above the in-feed exhaust duct and filter vat cleaners, and a carriage car carrying two horizontally spaced filter containers is mounted rollably on the track assembly for reciprocating movement therealong to alternately position one of the filter containers over the exhaust duct, and then the other over one of the two filter vat cleaners, in alternating sequence. Coupling means is provided for coupling the filter containers with the respective filter vat cleaners and the exhaust duct. An out-feed exhaust duct is positioned over the track assembly and carriage and is vertically aligned with the in-feed exhaust duct.
Abstract: A preassembled pressure relief apparatus adapted to be clamped between a pair of conventional pipe flanges. The apparatus is comprised of a pressure rupturable member supported between a pair of complementary supporting members which include seating surfaces to coact with the annular seating surfaces of the pipe flanges. The supporting members are of a size and shape such that portions thereof extend radially outwardly beyond the boundaries of the annular seating surfaces, of the pipe flanges and means for clamping the supporting members and the pressure rupturable member together in preassembly are attached to such portions of the supporting members.
