  • Patent number: 7905680
Abstract: Provided herein are a concrete dowel placement device and methods of use. The device 100 generally comprises a dowel receiving sleeve 110, a flange 120 formed to extend perpendicularly and completely about an open end b of the dowel receiving sleeve and at least one tooth-like locking structure 140a,b integrally formed on the outer surface 111 of the sleeve and proximate to the flange. The combination of the flange and the tooth-like locking structure secures the deviced to a concrete form so that a dowel rod 150 or piece of rebar placed therein maintains its position during a concrete pour.

  • Patent number: 7817836
Abstract: An efficient method and system of contouring target volumes and normal tissues at risk using an expert case as interactive tutorial reference for radiation therapy treatment plan is disclosed. Target volume contours based on guidance from a disease-matched expert case is selected by the user. The second imaging data set of a new patient is then displayed and linked with expert's case in a the slice-by-slice and side-by-side fashion and at comparable field-of-view angles. Users can generate the target volume contours on the new patient using expert case as tutorial guidance or overlaying the expert contours onto the new patient's imaging data set followed by reforming the target volume contours to fit the anatomical terrain of the patient. Users can then modify the target volume contours of their patient using expert case as tutorial guidance linked in a the slice-by-slice and side-by-side fashion and at comparable field-of-view angles.

  • Patent number: 7482955
Abstract: A string matching system includes a text string, a plurality of patterns, an m-byte search window and a plurality of Bloom filters, wherein the m-byte search window stands for an m-byte sub-string in the text string under inspection. Every Bloom filter comprises sub-strings of a plurality of patterns. These Bloom filters are queried for membership of the rightmost block in the search window to determine the shift length. The acceleration efficiency of matching many bytes can be achieved simultaneously by shifting the search window for many bytes. Meanwhile, the patterns are stored into an embedded memory through a memory-efficient mechanism —the Bloom filter.
