  • Patent number: 6193059
Abstract: Outside and inside cylindrical containers store a toilet plunger and multiple rows of toilet paper. The outside container has a base with side vent holes and a cap with vent holes. A toilet plunger resides vertically in the container. The inside container has a central bore in a base plate through to a tube through which the handle of the plunger protrudes upwardly. Multiple rolls of toilet paper are mounted axially on the tube within the inside container. A pull rod on the outside of the inner container tube is used to lift the toilet rolls from the inner container.

  • Patent number: 6189149
Abstract: A temperature change vest is provided for fitting around a person's torso. The vest includes seperate front and back panels which attach to one another at respective shoulder strap portions. Hook and loop material is provided upon the shoulder straps for attaching the panels together and for providing a means of adjustment such that the vest can be worn by a variety of people of different sizes. A plurality of horizontally disposed pockets, having open and closed ends and each defining a separate cavity, are provided along outer layers of the front and back panels. Heat packs, capable of retaining a hot or cold temperature, insert within the pockets. Two pair of fastening straps attached to the back panel engage a single pair of fastening strips disposed upon the front panel and work together along a horizontal plane to fit the vest to the person's torso.

  • Patent number: 6190036
Abstract: Method for determining the ice concentration in a liquid ice mixture (binary ice fluid), with the steps: separating a partial flow of the fluid and introducing and heating the partial flow into a heat exchange (16) until complete melting takes place, accompanied by the measurement of the inlet temperature tA and outlet temperature tB, further heating of the fluid flow by an external heat source and return of the partial flow through the heat exchanger (16), accompanied by the measurement of the inlet temperature tC and outlet temperature tO of the return partial flow and calculating the ice concentration according to the equation Xice=(tC−tO−tB+tA)·(cpfluid/hice), in which cpfluid is the specific heat capacity of the binary ice fluid and hice is the enthalpy of fusion of the binary ice.

  • Patent number: 6172862
Abstract: A portable partial discharge detecting device for measuring partial discharge in energized electrical systems encloses a relay circuit and a DC power source. A pair of sensor circuits are enclosed within electrically coupling clamping mechanisms and are coupled to the relay circuit at sensor inputs by cabling. The clamping mechanisms engage the ground leads of the electrical system. Trip and alarm networks of the relay circuit continuously compare the picocoulomb values of the partial discharge pulses against user set threshold values. Relays coupled to the trip and alarm networks respond if the threshold values are exceeded. The alarm setting is always set to a pick-up value equal to or less than the trip setting. The trip network relays are coupled to a control circuit of the electrical system and can take the system off-line. The alarm network relays are coupled to an alarm circuit and can warn the user that a certain level of partial discharge has been reached within the electrical system.

  • Patent number: 6152576
Abstract: The method provides a decorative array of spaced apart multiple light bulbs mounted on spaced apart rows of two intertwined insulated electrical conductors electrically connected to each light bulb. Wire or tubing is strung between the intertwined insulated electrical conductors at a connection to a light bulb in a designated pattern. A top row of two intertwined insulated electrical conductors is attached to a structure and other rows of intertwined insulated electrical conductors depend from the top row.

  • Patent number: 5725099
Abstract: A vacuum breaker vent valve is disclosed along with a coupler device and the packaging designed to enclose the valve and the coupler device. As packaged, the valve stem is received within the coupler device and the packaging, in two halves, is fastened above and below the valve and coupler device to enclose them. In use, the coupler device is inverted and attached to a sanitary system pipe and the valve is coupled on the coupler device. The packaging halves are assembled over the valve to provide protection.
