Abstract: The invention concerns a building component that is assembled from a plastic foam material and a reinforcement netting of a spatial structure being at least partly embedded in the foam material, in which the plastic foam material is provided with a layer of sand at the side where the reinforcement netting projects from the foam material. The individual grains of the layer of sand are mutually connected to a binding agent to be applied in a liquid state, in which directly connecting to the layer of sand, the foam material is formed with the same binding agent.
Abstract: A wrapping machine for wrapping a product with a plastic film including a supporting frame with which a ring arrangement is associated that rotates around a wrapping axis of the film and around the product. The supporting frame further supports a carriage arranged for supporting a reel of the film and for supporting a first roller and a second roller for unwinding and stretching the film. A first motor and a second motor are mounted on the supporting frame and coupled, respectively, with the first roller and the second roller.
Abstract: A filter support for a vacuum cleaner is provided with a frame suitable for supporting a filter and with a shaking device for making the frame vibrate in use, which has an actuator provided with a fan that is rotated by an air flow that in use passes through the frame.
Abstract: Broadly speaking, disclosed is a carrier assembly for an optical device, the carrier assembly comprising in combination: a glass substrate with an optical die thereon; and a silicon carrier attached to the glass carrier. During manufacture, a number of optical dies can be attached on the glass substrate using self-alignment of AuSn solder bumps using gaseous flux at about 300 deg C. The glass carrier can be mounted to the silicon carrier to form an optical device carrier assembly comprising micromechanical guide holes to facilitate a optical fiber connection, using self-alignment of SnAg solder bumps using gaseous flux at about 250 deg C. Each individual optical device can be tested at a wafer scale. The resulting optical device assembly can be diced to form individual optical devices having a carrier assembly that exhibits the traits of both a silicon carrier and a glass carrier.

Abstract: Disclosed is a unitary product cushioning device for supporting shock sensitive products during transport in an exterior container, comprising a product support region having a platform; a flap hingedly connected on either side of the product support region for folding upwards and towards the product support region; a plurality of ribs on each flap and product support region, the ribs defining product-supporting cavities therebetween for receiving and supporting the products; a cutout between each flap and product support region. Fold stops may hingedly connect each flap and product support region, the fold stop being angled to facilitate folding of the flap towards the product support region to form a generally “U” shape in the exterior container.
Abstract: A footwear comprises a sole and a heel provided with a first heel portion fixed to said sole, said heel comprising a second heel portion, rotatable around a hinge device and adjustable from a first position, in which said second heel portion protrudes transversely from said sole, to a second position in which said second heel portion is rotated to said sole; a footwear comprises a sole provided with a heel, and a support portion connected to said sole on which a further heel is obtained shaped to supportingly receive said heel.
Abstract: A protective foot cover for use in dance, exercise, or athletic applications using strategically placed protective pieces in ball and heel areas of the foot in connection with an elastic material in the sole structure to allow the foot to move freely and provide less of a barrier between the foot and floor such that a dancer can better sense the floor upon which they dance. The foot cover incorporates strategically placed protective patches that provide support, protection, and comfort to the ball and heel portions of the foot. The patches are spaced from one another so that the footwear is able to move more naturally with the expansion of the foot as pressure is applied to the foot. An elastic band extends in a figure eight configuration from the front of the cover, beneath the arch of the foot where the band overlaps, and around the heel to provide arch support and to hold the cover on the foot.

Abstract: A modifier material and method for making the same is characterized by the addition of a partitioning agent to a polymer material such as synthetic rubber to prevent reagglomeration of the rubber. The partitioning agent reduces the time required to disperse the modifier material in a material to be modified and also reduces the viscosity of the modified material so that the modified material is easier to handle. The partitioning agent preferably includes a mixture of phenyl formaldehyde resin and precipitated silica gel.
