  • Patent number: 7584700
Abstract: A method of controlling register when overprinting a plurality of separated colors, includes adjusting with register adjusting devices the position of image fields produced with the separated colors on a print carrier, so that the image fields are in register with one another. The position of all of the image fields on the print carrier are continuously changed simultaneously in the same direction by an equal amount.

  • Patent number: 7532333
Abstract: A method teaches how to measure—even strongly curved—specular surfaces with an apparatus that measures a shape as well as local surface normals absolutely. This is achieved by the observation and evaluation of patterns that are reflected at the surface. The reflected patterns are observed from different directions. The evaluation is done by termination of those locations in space, where the surface normals that are observed from different directions, have at least deviations against each other.

  • Patent number: 7484610
Abstract: In an apparatus for clamping and releasing a gearwheel rim with respect to a main gearwheel that bears the gearwheel rim, a clamping apparatus includes an axially guided, displaceable clamping plate clamping the gearwheel rim between the plate and the main gearwheel. Antifatigue bolts are used for such a purpose. The bolts are expanded by an actuator for releasing the clamped gearwheel rim to an extent that cancels the clamping action.

  • Patent number: 7478596
Abstract: In a method for efficiently removing a great number of damaged rail sections, after a first separating cut, the severed free rail ends are gripped by a rail pulling device connecting the rail ends to one another, and are pulled towards one another. The pulling force required for the pulling-together as well a current rail temperature are registered for calculation of that length of a replacement rail which is required for producing a desired rail tension. A second separating cut is carried out—with corresponding path measurement—spaced at a distance from the first separating cut as calculated on the basis of the selected length of the replacement rail.
