Abstract: An oil lamp and fragrance release apparatus for providing a unique flame formation usable in a variety of decorative applications. The lamp includes a body that has an open upper end and that defines a chamber for carrying a combustible liquid. The lamp further includes a sheet wick having a lower end located in the chamber of the body, for contacting the combustible liquid, and an upper end projecting upwardly from the open upper end. The wick of inorganic material may be positioned between first and second plates arranged in a spaced, confronting relationship to enhance capillary action, may be freestanding stone of fibrous, permeable material or may be wrapped about a rigid plate. The wick provides a unique horizontal flame formation, while displaying décor on the outer surface of the flat wall. Optionally, the lamp may include scented oil and a conductive element to promote the release of fragrance upon heating, and the wick can be configured of material having high heat fragrance emanation.
Abstract: A security door closure system for cruise ships and other similar public entrance points to prevent terrorist attack or ship take-over is needed. Cruise ship passenger and ship provisioning entrance gangplanks pass through large hydraulically operated shell doors. The gangplank must be removed to close the shell door. The quick close security door system (Door-Gate) is a portable bullet resistant rapid close door system that is placed in conjunction with the gangplank or other entry system, which when closed prevents forced entry. A single lever either remotely or manually operated immediately closes the doors, which then cannot be forced opened from the entrance side.
Abstract: Lamp oil compositions including methyl palmitate, methyl stearate, myristyl alcohol, an alcohol with less than six carbons, preferably ethyl alcohol, and fragrance. Also disclosed herein are lighter fluid compositions which include methyl laurate, methyl stearate, ethyl alcohol and fragrance.

Abstract: The present invention thoroughly cleans hairbrushes and combs and comprises an upper portion with at least two openings for containing a hair remover and an item to be cleaned, a rotating roller brush, and a housing portion. The roller brush, together with the hair remover, effectively clean and remove hair from styling combs and brushes and prevent accumulated hair from impeding the cleaning action by removing it from the roller brush. The device is configured in a specialized concave crescent shape, and the pattern of bristles on the roller brush is configured to optimize cleaning action on hairbrushes and styling combs.
Abstract: A musical instrument apparatus has the ability to interchange from acoustic to electric string instrument embodiments; both the acoustic and electric string embodiments share a common hollow modular body assembly.
Abstract: A cable management device, which comprises a body having an axis and at least one planar flange and at least one cable retainer; this apparatus allows for removable attachment of a cable during axial winding in a single plane, which results in uniform and neat storage of cable or cord.

Abstract: This invention provides a slipcover touch input apparatus and structure for displays for computing devices that converts a non-touch screen display to a touch screen display. The slipcover assembly acts as a sheath or cover for the display, and the touch screen is mounted in a window or opening of the casing of the display so that the touch screen is oriented to mimic the position of the display. This touch screen slipcover can convert any display of a computing device into a touch screen display.

Abstract: An adjustable bicycle seat, which comprises a seat, a locking system, and a boom, allows for simultaneous longitudinal and angular adjustment of the seat position, when user is using the seat and with one hand. The locking system comprises a locking mechanism, friction lock, and release lever; the locking system relies on friction to keep the seat in a locked position until the user applies pressure to the releasing lever to unlock the locking system and to move the seat to a desired second position.
