Abstract: A control device for rotating a tube supporting a roller member to be wound onto or unwound from the tube has at least one electric motor housed in the tube and drive mechanism for transmitting the motion from the motor to the supporting tube. The motor is an electric three phase motor having at least four poles. The drive mechanism preferably has a single-stage mechanical reduction gear such as a planocentric reduction gear.
