  • Patent number: 8214200
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for approximating an MDCT coefficient of a block of windowed sinusoid having a defined frequency, the block being multiplied by a window sequence and having a block length and a block index. A finite trigonometric series is employed to approximate the window sequence. A window summation table is pre-computed using the finite trigonometric series and the defined frequency of the sinusoid. A block phase is computed for each block with the defined frequency, the block length and the block index. An MDCT coefficient is approximated by the dot product of a phase vector computed using the block phase with a corresponding row of the window summation table.

  • Patent number: 8130429
Abstract: An adaptive print driver receives printing instructions relating to a document and outputs print data pages to an imager. The adaptive print driver includes a printing instruction parser for parsing printing instructions, a format controller for assigning a data format to the parsed print instructions and transferring the parsed print instructions according to the data format to a plurality of format generators. The plurality of format generators generates print data which is passed to a coalescer that coalesces the received print data into at least one print data page. The adaptive print driver uses a data format determination analysis process to balance rasterization on the adaptive print driver to achieve an optimal load balance between rasterization to take place on the adaptive print driver and rasterization to take place on the imager.

  • Patent number: 8123454
Abstract: An elongated container of a truck has a closed front end wall and a hinged rear outlet closure, and a side infeed opening for receiving garbage. This empty container is configured to receive an elongated base upon which is mounted a reciprocating conveyor floor for moving garbage in the container outward through the opened rear closure for deposit at a garbage disposal site. The power drive mechanism for driving the reciprocating floor is located at the front end of the container and is shielded from input garbage by a deflector secured to the reciprocating floor. The deflector also serves as a pusher for compacting and moving garbage in the container out through the opened rear closure. The self-contained reciprocating floor is easily carried manually and fed through the opened rear closure and secured firmly in the truck container.

  • Patent number: 7865319
Abstract: A method and system for measuring the input (loading) impedance of measurement systems using a test fixture. This is done by first measuring the characteristics of an unloaded test fixture to obtain scattering parameters of the test fixture and using a splitting algorithm to calculate the scattering parameters of each transmission line leg of the test fixture. The test fixture is then measured with a measurement system attached. The test fixture effects defined by the scattering parameters are then removed from the measurement to yield the scattering parameters of the measurement system alone (measurement system effects).
