Abstract: A formulation includes water, shea butter, an emulsifier and an essential oil comprising myrrh. In addition, the formulation can include cocoa butter, coconut oil, kelp powder, and a preservative comprising a mixture of phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben and butylparaben. The formulation can be used for cosmetic applications in which the formulation is applied as a cream to a user's skin.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for conducting an overhead crane runway system survey uses a survey apparatus that is alternately pushed or pulled by an overhead crane. The survey apparatus, having a wheeled carriage, includes survey sighting targets, e.g., prisms, that are visible to survey personnel on the ground. XYZ data is there collected and a rail alignment profile, a rail elevation profile, a rail span profile, and/or a crane skew profile may be generated. The data and profiles generated may reviewed to ascertain whether the overhead rails conform to alignment specifications. Further, crane skew data may be reviewed to determine whether the crane itself may be misaligned.
Abstract: Methods of aligning single walled carbon nanotube structures into selected orientations for a variety of different applications are achieved by initially dispersing the nanotube structures in aqueous solutions utilizing a suitable dispersal agent. The dispersal agent coats each individual nanotube structure in solution. The dispersal agent may be substituted with a suitable functional group that reacts with a corresponding binding site. Dispersed nanotube structures coated with substituted dispersal agents are exposed to a selected array of binding sites such that the nanotubes align with the binding sites due to the binding of the substituted functional groups with such binding sites. Alternatively, crystalline nanotube material is formed upon deposition of dispersed nanotube structures within solution into channels disposed on the surface of the substrate.
Abstract: Methods of producing stable dispersions of single-walled carbon nanotube structures in solutions are achieved utilizing dispersal agents. The dispersal agents are effective in substantially solubilizing and dispersing single-walled carbon nanotube structures in aqueous solutions by coating the structures and increasing the surface interaction between the structures and water. Exemplary agents suitable for dispersing nanotube structures in aqueous solutions include synthetic and natural detergents having high surfactant properties, deoxycholates, cyclodextrins, chaotropic salts and ion pairing agents. The dispersed nanotube structures may further be deposited on a suitable surface in isolated and individualized form to facilitate easy characterization and further processing of the structures.
