Abstract: A grinding fixture that allows a variety of helical shapes to be ground upon a variety of cutting inserts. The grinding fixture includes a bottom sine base for varying a first angle. A shaft is rotatably attached to the bottom sine base for providing rotation of the insert about an axis. A primary slide is rotatably attached to the shalt in parallel relation to the top surface of the bottom sine base for adjusting the position of a locating point on the insert in a first direction relative to the axis of rotation. The locating point is adjusted in a second direction relative to the axis of rotation by a cross slide attached to, and disposed in perpendicular relation with, the primary slide. A top sine assembly is fixedly attached to the cross slide for varying a second angle and includes a connection surface for fixedly connecting the insert holder to the sine assembly.
Abstract: A multimedia authoring apparatus and method that allows a multimedia author to focus solely on the content of the presentation. In its most basic form, the apparatus of the present invention includes a processor, a monitor and data storage medium, such as a magnetic or optical disk, and a multimedia database stored in a data storage medium. The processor includes means for creating and linking frames, scenes and action items, for automatically recording the action items and in an outline as the author creates them, for informing the author when a link has not been created from a given action item to another frame and for displaying a discrete portion of the presentation before all frames, scenes and action items have been created.
Abstract: A fish fighting apparatus for assisting an angler in the capture of large hooked fish. The fish fighting apparatus includes a rotational platform that attaches to a fish fighting chair for use by an angler in pulling a hooked fish into a boat using a fishing rod. The platform includes a base having a top surface and a bottom surface and an attachment plate which attaches said platform to the deck of the boat. The base is rotatably connected to the attachment plate via the bottom surface of the base. The base can be rotated substantially independent of the pull on the fishing rod since the position of the point of rotation of the chair attached to the platform is offset from the point of rotation of the base of the platform. An accessory attachment bar is mounted to the attachment plate and a vertical chair support member is pivotally fastened to the accessory attachment bar allowing a slidable seat to pivot back and forth.
