    Abstract: The invention is a spoon-shaped device for removing ticks from pets and other hosts. The outer or leading edge of the spoon bowl has a beveled V-shaped notch of a size to permit the bowl to be passed between the tick and the skin of the host until the scoop engages the tick underneath its body on three sides. A further forward sliding motion of the notched area along the skin releases the tick entirely.
