  • Patent number: 7578511
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a trash bin, namely an enclosed trash bin having a top and front doors that swing open on a hinged system. The enclosed trash bin contains a detachable cart in which trash and/or trash cans can be placed upon for storage and the cart can be detached from the rest of the trash bin and wheeled to the curb on trash pick-up day. The wheeled cart can either be removed from the inside of the trash bin or makes up at least one portion of the trash bin so that when it is removed it is brought to the curb with at least one portion of the cart. When the cart is returned to the trash bin and placed inside of the bin the trash bin is then whole and impermeable to raccoons and other animals and/or rodents.

  • Patent number: 7380714
Abstract: An encoding/verifying apparatus and method for encoding/verifying RFID containing stock is provided. The encoding/verifying apparatus enables the verification of information already programmed on stock containing a RFID tag and/or encodes specific information to the RFID component of the stock while verifying that the proper stock is programmed with the correct information. Stock can either be on a roll or a fan fold with or without pin feeds. The stock will be read/encoded one at a time and advanced only after each successful read/write. Any stock that contains a failed RFID component will be marked so as to designate it as defective. In addition, methods for uniquely programming RFID containing stock are also provided.

  • Patent number: 7380702
Abstract: The invention is directed to a box, namely a pizza box having a bottom wall; a peripheral side wall attached to a periphery of the bottom wall; a top cover including a rear edge hingedly attached to the side wall, a front edge, and two side edges between the front edge and the rear edge. The box is fitted with a serving tray having handles on at least two opposing sides. The serving tray is designed to fit inside the pizza box. The box may contain at least two slits in the top cover, each slit extending along the front edge, side edge or back edge. These slits are configured so that the handles from the serving tray partially fit into each slit thereby providing additional support for the overall structure of the pizza box. This allows the pizza box to be constructed of lighter material with the additional support coming from the handles of the serving tray.

  • Patent number: 7232136
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a trash cart, namely an enclosed trash cart having a top and front doors that swing open on a hinged system. The enclosed trash cart is connected to at least one wheel axle having wheels that allow the cart to be transported from a storage area to the curb for garbage pickup. The trash cart can also have an attachment system that gives the owner the option of overlaying a number of different external decorative panels to the trash cart making the cart both functional and decorative. The trash cart of the present invention enables a homeowner to store daily garbage outside the home or garage in a decorative enclosure that keeps the garbage protected from animals and makes it easy to transport garbage to the curb on pick-up day.

  • Patent number: 6573085
Abstract: The invention is directed to an apparatus for delivering activated microorganisms to an environment to be treated. The apparatus has a bioreactor containing microorganisms, a supply of organic and inorganic nutrients and a controller. The controller maintains the conditions of the bioreactor so as to maintain the microorganisms in the exponential phase of growth. The controller also doses a portion of the fluid in the bioreactor to the environment to be treated. The invention also provides a method for the biological treatment of wastes and an organic and inorganic composition used to feed the microorganisms in the bioreactor.

  • Patent number: 6351952
Abstract: An interruptible thermal bridge system including: a first thermally conductive surface positioned proximate an object which absorbs energy; a second thermally conductive surface thermally connected to the first conductive surface positioned proximate to an object which dissipates energy, a thermal switch positioned between the first and second conductive surfaces for regulating a thermal connection between the first and second surfaces by alternatively switching between a first position, blocking the conductive path and thermally insulating the first conductive surface from the second conductive surface, and a second position, opening the conductive surface with the second conductive surface.

  • Patent number: 6051728
Abstract: A class of metallocene compounds having two substituted cyclopentadienyl rings bridged by an alkylidene group wherein the cyclopentadienyl groups can be indenyl groups. The metallocene compounds have the following structures: ##STR1## The metallocenes are characterized by three principal features: (i) the cyclopentadienyl groups are substituted at the 3-position with a substituent other than hydrogen, while R.sup.2 in the 2-position bears a hydrogen (formula (I)) or is part of a condensed benzene ring (formula (II)); (ii) the bridge is a substituted-methylene bridge, i.e. a methylene group bearing at least one substituent other than hydrogen (R.sup.6 is always different from hydrogen); and (iii) the cyclopentadienyl groups are identically substituted (page 2, line 23). These metallocene compounds can be suitably used as catalyst components for the polymerization of olefins.
