Abstract: An enclosure for a film-type humidity sensing element includes identical enclosure members which snap together to form an enclosure with the humidity sensing element sandwiched between the members, each of the members including a lead mounting area on its inner surface for mounting the mounting ends of electrical leads, the leads being connected to contact portions of the humidity sensing element interiorly of the enclosure by a metal-filled conductive adhesive which is introduced into the enclosure through access openings after the enclosure members have been assembled together. The enclosure is adapted for mounting on a circuit board in both horizontal and vertical orientations and independently of the lead structure of the sensor assembly.

Abstract: A container of a heat set plastic material adapted for hot fill applications includes a plurality of elongated vertically oriented vacuum panels in its sidewall and first and second circumferentially extending inwardly directed reinforcement ribs which are located in the label mounting areas above and below the vacuum panels and which cooperate with upper and lower label bumpers of the container to support the upper and lower edges of the vacuum panels permitting the center portions of the panels to flex inward during filling and sealing the container with a hot liquid, but resisting deformation of the container sidewall in compensating for the hot-fill vacuum.

Abstract: A compartmented handbag having a plurality of interior compartments includes a directional map that identifies the contents and/or locations of the compartments within the handbag, making the contents of the compartments easily accessible. The compartments are numbered and the directional map includes a list of the numbered compartments and identifying indicia which is individually correlated to correspond with the compartments.

Abstract: A vehicle anti-theft system is activated by a magnetically coded card and associated card reader to activate a normally closed solenoid valve which is connected in the brake line to permit normal operation of the vehicle, the valve being closed when unoperated, preventing brake fluid to return to the master cylinder, whereby the brakes of the vehicle are locked, preventing operation of the vehicle. The valve has its fluid inlet connected to the brake line and its fluid outlet connected to the outlet of the master brake cylinder.

Abstract: A swallowable capsule for obtaining samples of gastric and/or intestinal fluids, the capsule defining an inner fluid receiving chamber having an inlet port which is normally sealed off from the exterior of the capsule by way of a blocking means including a mass the properties of which change upon contact with the suitable fluids present in the digestion tract, causing the means to communicate the inlet port with the outside of the capsule allowing a sample of the fluid to be aspirated into the chamber. Located within the chamber is a closing means normally maintained in a flow permitting position by a mass which glues the necessary parts of the closing means together in such a way that the parts cannot move, so that the action of the closing means is neutralized.

Abstract: A display and storage device for articles such as coins, medals, tokens and the like includes a pair of plate members, identical in size and configuration, which are adapted to be assembled together by way of complimentary ridges and channels which become aligned when the two plate members are placed together in a particular orientation. An article to be stored is placed between a pair of flexible transparent sheets which in turn are positioned between the plate members, the edges of the sheets being compressed together by the plate members when they are assembled. Abstract: A pulling tool for extracting bushings, bearings or similar devices from a blind hole consists of first and second pulling members and a drive member. The pulling members are inserted into a central recess of a bushing or bearing, and a threaded shank portion of the drive member is inserted into an axial opening between the pulling members, engaging threaded inner surfaces of the pulling members and moving the pulling members apart to cause lip portions at the inner ends of the pulling members to be driven behind the bottom edge of the bushing or bearing. As the drive member is turned, the pulling members back up onto the drive member, carrying with them the bushing or bearing. One of the pulling members has a recess on a side surface of its outer end to receive a tool for preventing rotation of the pulling members relative to the drive member when the pulling tool is used to remove a bearing.

Abstract: A door mounted actuating device for use with a spray container includes a frame for supporting the container and locating its spray nozzle at door top height, and an actuating mechanism having a pivotally mounted lever arm and a plunger assembly including a plunger rod movable to pivot the lever arm to depress the spray nozzle of the container causing a spray of fluid from the container both upon opening and closing of the door. The lever arm carries an adjustable member adjacent to the nozzle which is adjustable to vary the amount of spray. The plunger rod is adjustable to permit the actuating unit to spray only upon opening of the door, and a stop mechanism of the plunger assembly is adjustable to permit the actuating unit to spray only upon closing of the door.

Abstract: An apparatus for transmitting torque to a load includes a pair of pulleys vertically spaced apart by a great distance for movably mounting a long endless belt in a substantially vertical disposition to move it freely in a closed loop path, a plurality of spaced-apart arm devices connected to and extending from the belt, and a plurality of weights adapted to be carried by the arm devices. The weights and the arm devices are arranged in pairs, and each one of the pairs provides a larger moment acting through the belt on at least one of the pulleys when falling vertically downwardly under the force of gravity and alternately provides a relatively smaller opposing moment acting through the belt on at least one of the pulleys when being pulled vertically upwardly by the belt, whereby torque may be transmitted from at least one of the pulleys for driving the load.
