Abstract: A data access apparatus has a memory portion including plural memory banks. A data storage control portion stores the pixel data in the plural memory banks with the pixel data being divided into the plural memory banks based on information on an access pattern of plural pixels set on a predetermined screen. A data access control portion reads pixel data relative to the plural pixels specified by the access pattern at the same time from the plural memory banks at each set position in which the set position of the access pattern moves from the start position thereof toward a pixel row direction. A selector portion transmits pixel data corresponding to respective pixels constituting each of the groups of pixels based on correspondence information on input and output. Each group of pixels includes a center pixel and peripheral pixels positioned at a periphery of the center pixel.

The system comprises: a processing station arranged to receive transaction data describing a plurality of transactions from a plurality of banks via the Internet. Abstract: Instrumentation for implanting an artificial intervertebral disc includes static trials and a dynamic trial for determining the appropriate size of disc to be implanted, static trial holders for manipulating the static trials, inserter/impactors for inserting and removing the static trials and for inserting the artificial intervertebral discs, repositioners/extractors for repositioning and extracting the static trials or the artificial intervertebral discs, and a leveler for setting the proper position of the artificial intervertebral disc. Methods for using the same are also disclosed. Features for artificial intervertebral discs and intervertebral spacer devices useful for manipulation by the instrumentation are also disclosed.

The photoelectric converter is formed on a surface side in the semiconductor substrate. The transfer gate reads the signal charge from the photoelectric converter, and the transfer gate is formed on the semiconductor substrate adjacent to the photoelectric converter. The insulating layer is formed on the photoelectric converter in the semiconductor substrate. The first silicon layer is formed on the insulating layer. The pixel transistor portion amplifies and outputs the signal charge read by the transfer gate. The pixel transistor portion is formed on the insulating layer with the first silicon layer being an active region.

Abstract: A washer for washing and dewatering cellulose pulp is disclosed including a rotatable drum with a plurality of axial compartment walls defining a plurality of outer compartments, a stationary cylindrical casing enclosing the drum, and at least one axially disposed seal dividing the annular space between the stationary casing and the drum into a number of zones for treating the pulp. The function of the seals is optimized by units for seal adjustment which include a load cell for registering a pulse signal indicating the force acting on the seals, an extractor for deriving a pulse height parameter from the registered pulse signal and a motor for moving the seal radially with respect to the drum based on the pulse height parameter.
