  • Patent number: 7951209
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for the oxidation dyeing of keratin fibres, in particular of human keratin fibres such as the hair, comprising at least one oxidation base chosen from 4,5- or 3,4-diaminopyrazoles and triaminopyrazoles, in combination with at least one selected carbonyl compound, and also to the dyeing process using this composition with an oxidizing agent.

  • Patent number: 7451724
Abstract: An animal mask for removable fitment to the appropriate portion of the head of an animal such as the front of the head or over one nostril for the effective delivery of drugs or medicaments, for pulmonary or nasal absorption. The rings of the mask are nestable, forming a succession of monotonically decreasing sized telescopable rings from a largest ring to a smallest ring to form a relatively flexible skirt. An animal interface adapter extends from the largest ring and is adapted to establish a substantial seal between the animal interface adapter and the face of an animal. The animal mask is collapsible to permit use in a full or partially open state, and to permit easy and convenient transport in a collapsed or closed state.

  • Patent number: 7279760
Abstract: The present invention relates to a nanotube device (100, 600), comprising a nanotube with a longitudinal and a lateral extension, a structure for supporting at least a first part of the nanotube, and first means for exerting a force upon the nanotube in a first direction defined by its lateral extension. At least a second part of the nanotube protrudes beyond the support of said structure, so that when said force exceeds a certain level, the second part of the nanotube will flex in the direction of its lateral extension, and thereby close a first electrical circuit. Suitably, the first means for exerting said force upon the nanotube is an electrical means, the force being created by applying a voltage to the means.

  • Patent number: 7276666
Abstract: A holder for mounting conduits and tubes at a carrier in airplanes, including a basic body and at least one slide-in part. In this context, the basic body has a recess for receiving the slide-in part. The slide-in part is held in an end position in the recess. By means of the slide-in part, the basic body may be disposed at the carrier. The holder is designed to receive conduits and tubes with a diameter in the order of magnitude of 30 to 50 mm thickness.

  • Patent number: 7229444
Abstract: A bone fixation system has at least one cerclage cable and an elongate bone plate. The bone plate has a bone contacting surface, first and second spaced side portions and an outer surface opposite said bone contacting surface. The elongate plate includes a plurality of apertures or openings therethrough surrounded by the side portions. The apertures extending from the outer surface to the bone contacting surface and being spaced to form bridge portions between adjacent apertures. Each of the bridge portions including at least two pairs of through bores extending between the first and second side portions for receiving cerclage cable. Each of the first and second side portions forming the sides of at least one of the apertures also has a cerclage wire bore extending therethrough.

  • Patent number: 6113605
Abstract: An insertion system for a prosthesis has an inserter with a box-like attachment device mounted therein. The attachment device has an end wall, a bottom wall and a pair of sidewalls with a crossbar spaced from said bottom wall extending between said side walls. A resilient adapter engages a trunion on the prosthesis and includes an arm designed to engage the attachment device by locking under the crossbar. To prevent rotation a spring-loaded retractable rod is mounted within the inserter and can be selectively moved into and out of engagement with a locating element on the prosthesis.

  • Patent number: 6092581
Abstract: Safety blinds for installation in an opening in a building such as a door or window includes a closure covering the opening, a plurality of projections along the side edges of the opening and a plurality of corresponding apertures along the side edges of the closure, whereby locking the projections into the openings prevents the closure from opening and also prevents the side edges of the closure from being displaced from the side edges of the opening. In another embodiment, the projections from the closure cooperate with a continuous channel along the edge of the opening whereby the projections can move within the channel for opening and closing the closure and can be locked in position for again preventing the closure from being opened.
