Patent number: 6713854Abstract: An improved multi-chip module includes a circuit board having an array of electrical interconnection pads to which are mounted a plurality of IC package units. Each IC package unit includes multiple IC packages, which are mounted on opposite sides of a package carrier. The package units may be mounted on one or both sides of the circuit board. A variety of package carriers are used to create a number of different modules. One type of package carrier has a pair of major planar surfaces. Each planar surface incorporates electrical contact pads. At least one IC package is surface mounted on each major planar surface, by interconnecting the connection elements, or leads, of the package with the contact pads on the planar surface, to form the IC package unit. Another type of package carrier substrate has a multiple recesses for back-to-back surface mounting of the IC packages. The IC packages may be in contact with opposite sides of a heat sink layer embedded within the carrier substrate.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2000Date of Patent: March 30, 2004Assignee: Legacy Electronics, IncInventors: Kenneth J. Patent number: 6695145Abstract: A method for organizing the picking up of soiled garments, cleaning them and returning of them to a customer is disclosed that greatly improves the efficiency and speed of current methods by retaining the garments of a specific route together in an identifiable collection and working in a just in time flow. Upon the arrival of the soiled garments at the cleaning plant, garments from each route are cleaned and dried in identifiable collections according to the route on which the garments were picked up. The garments are then sorted by customer on each route and wearer at each customer at which point the garments are ready for return to the customer.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2001Date of Patent: February 24, 2004Inventor: Frederic Veau

Patent number: 6554546Abstract: An Improved Apparatus and Method for Moving and Placing Granulate is disclosed. The disclosed device is a portable, self-contained apparatus capable of discharging granulate into hard-to-reach areas, as well as providing assistance in covering vast open areas with granulate in a short time. Furthermore, the device and method described herein permit the application of granulate into areas that are normally inaccessible and would require many hours of human labor, and thereby potentially avoiding damage to the site that might be incurred if employing a prior method and device.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2001Date of Patent: April 29, 2003Assignee: Air Pumped Sand & GravelInventors: Richard Dunlop, Robert Griffin

Patent number: 6545868Abstract: An improved multi-chip module includes a main circuit board having an array of electrical interconnection pads to which are mounted a plurality of IC package units. Each IC package unit includes a pair of IC packages, both of which are mounted on opposite sides of a package carrier. The package units may be mounted on one or both sides of the main circuit board. A first primary embodiment of the invention employs a laminar package carrier having a pair of major planar surfaces. Each planar surface incorporates electrical contact pads. One IC package is surface mounted on each major planar surface, by interconnecting the leads of the package with the contact pads on the planar surface, to form the IC package unit. A second primary embodiment of the invention utilizes a carrier substrate which has a pair of recesses for back-to-back surface mounting of the IC package pair. The two IC packages may be in contact with opposite sides of a heat sink layer embedded within the carrier substrate.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2000Date of Patent: April 8, 2003Assignee: Legacy Electronics, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth J. Kledzik, Jason C. Engle

Patent number: 6342085Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for composting animal manure. Specifically it is a method that composts chicken manure which at the same time reduces the odor produced by the manure and kills undesirable insects which have a tendency to live in manure piles. The method includes gathering the manure together in long rows. Turning manure on a periodic basis with a horizontal augur so that substantially the portion of the manure pile that was on the outside is buried in the inside. Assuring that the temperature in the manure pile reaches between 90 and 150 degrees so that the life cycle of insects which live in the pile is disrupted. Intermittently adding an absorbent material such as sawdust to absorb the odor and enhance the composting effect.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 1999Date of Patent: January 29, 2002Inventors: Craig R. Patent number: 6282834Abstract: A light transmissive thin flexible covering for a greenhouse having two outside sheets. The two outside sheets have sandwiched there between an array of chambers which connect and hold the sheets together, the chambers are sealed and generally contain air and thus provide an insulating space. The cover can be placed or rolled over the framework of a greenhouse to provide an enclosed thermally insulated space. The structure of a greenhouse generally comprises an array of sequentially arched support rods or pipes. The support rods or pipes at either end have a base plate to which they attach. The ends of the structure are sealed to provide a completely enclosed interior space to protect plants during cold weather. The cover has ultraviolet reflective qualities which prevent the penetration of ultraviolet light into the interior or the degradation of the cover due to ultraviolet light.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 1999Date of Patent: September 4, 2001Inventor: Clifford L. Mossey

Patent number: 6218952Abstract: A system which monitors the functioning of safety and signal light circuits on a trailer and verify the lights are operating properly. The system connects into the signal and safety light circuits of the trailer and includes a unit which can be positioned within view of an operator of the vehicle towing the trailer. The unit has an appropriate visual display which warns the operator if one of the safety or signal light circuits have ailed. The visual display can be light emitting diodes which provide an appropriate visual signal. The unit can also include an audio signaling device to warn of a failure in the signal and safety light circuit.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 1999Date of Patent: April 17, 2001Inventors: Leslie R.
