  • Patent number: 5913270
Abstract: A portable modular field kitchen for use in preparing and serving food in the out-of-doors typically employed at camp sights, roadside camping facilities for recreational vehicles, at a city park, the beach-or even on the patio or in the back yard of a residence or other outdoor venue. The portable modular field kitchen includes a horizontal work surface and a main frame for supporting and stabilizing the horizontal work surface. The main frame includes a pair of opposing vertical supports interconnected by a collapsible scissors operator. The scissors operator is connected to each of the vertical supports by a pair of support arms. A pair of side grate tables are each supported by a corresponding one of the opposing vertical supports and one of a pair of side table frames. Each of the side table frames is connected to the corresponding one of the side grate tables by a pair of hinged support bars.

  • Patent number: 5813946
Abstract: An inflatable jumping toy typically employed in a play area by children performing jumping exercises is disclosed. The inflatable jumping toy comprises a construction incorporating a large torodial-shaped tube utilized as a base element and a vertical retainer wall mounted upon the top of the torodial-shaped tube. The retainer wall functions to absorb the lateral impact of a child against the jumping toy and to prevent a child from falling out of or being accidentally ejected from the jumping toy. A multi-layer bouncing mattress which is surrounded by and in communication with the torodial-shaped tube serves as a cushioned floor to absorb the vertical impact of the children during the jumping exercises. In a preferred embodiment, the multi-layer bouncing mattress includes an upper floor layer having an I-beam construction for providing maximum impact absorption of the vertical forces associated with jumping.

  • Patent number: 5676168
Abstract: The present invention is a fast-erecting tent in which several open-ended arcuate interconnect via a single connector. The frame of the tent includes 1) a pair of resilient, planar open-end arcuate sections that form a filiform base loop; 2) a pair of resilent open-end arcuate sections that form a filiform upper loop; 3) a connector which links a terminal end of the first arcuate section of the base loop plus a terminal end of the first arcuate section of the upper loop to the terminal end of the second arcuate section of the base loop plus the terminal end of the second arcuate section of the upper loop; and 4) a segmented, internally biased, arch shaped tubular strut. The ends of the strut are slidably and rotatably connected to the arcuate sections of the base loop. The strut is connected to the arcuate sections of the upper loop by means of a twist clip. The fabric covering is wrapped around and attached to the frame by conventional means. The connector is a sleeve with a through-bore.

  • Patent number: 5326338
Abstract: A lateral exercise apparatus for use in performing side-to-side skating movements having a surface layer for performing the skating movements on each side thereof. Each side of the surface layer has a very low coefficient of friction. A plurality of adjustable clamps are utilized to adjust the length of the surface layer with each adjustable clamp including at least one pair of releasable clamping surfaces for gripping the surface layer. Each of a plurality of resilient bumpers are removably interlocked to one of the releasable clamping surfaces of each of the adjustable clamps for terminating the side-to-side skating movements. The resilient bumpers are wedge-shaped and have a low impact surface angle .THETA. of less than or equal to 20.degree.. Finally, a high friction layer is provided for underlying and securing the surface layer to a floor surface.
