  • Patent number: 6808223
Abstract: This invention describes a novel two way hinge for motor vehicle doors that hinges open at a 20 degree angle, then rotates upward 45 degrees. The motor vehicle door is maintained in the open position by a shock absorber/piston arrangement that is common in the automotive industry. The invention described herein can be installed by an aftermarket shop and/or sold as an easily installed kit. The present invention overcomes the shortcomings of existing hinges by allowing greater access for ingress and egress from existing motor vehicle doors in tight parking situations.

  • Patent number: 6779519
Abstract: A Infrared or mesh burner having a flat sheet (or cover sheet) of heat resistant glass or metal is positioned between the food to be cooked and the mesh burner. The cover sheet is held in position with brackets that have grooves that allow the cover sheet to be frictionally held in position in a generally vertical position. The brackets can have the ability to allow the cover sheet to be rotationally positioned providing a more directioned heat source.

  • Patent number: 6691735
Abstract: The current invention describes a pressure regulator for a gas burner that allows a consumer to make adjustments to the pressure regulator for differences in altitude as well as differences in the design and manufacturing tolerances of the pressure regulator from the manufacturer. Many traditional gas burners require a third party, with specialized equipment and training, to make corrective adjustments to the pressure to a gas burner after the burner is sold to the consumer. This pressure regulator incorporates a regulating curve into the pressure regulator, thus eliminating the need to remove the pressure regulator from the appliance and allowing the consumer himself to make the necessary adjustments to the burner without the assistance of a third party.

  • Patent number: 6589046
Abstract: A multi piece gas burner assembly that is machined or cast and having a burner base that contains holes for primary air where the hole dimensions do not exceed the height of a jet mounted therein. The burner base is fastened onto an appliance. The burner head rests upon a boss on the burner base and has a tube that directs a flammable gas-air mixture from the burner base into a cavity created between the burner head and the burner cap. The burner cap rests upon the burner head and contains an outer edge that is turned downwards in order to allow fluid to drip away from the flame. A groove is cut into the burner cap just inside the down turned outer edge and provides a location for a support flame. The location of the groove prevents fluid and dust from collecting inside the groove. The groove captures the flammable gas-air mixture, which provides a constant ignition source for the gas-air mixture through slots in the burner cap when ignited.

  • Patent number: 6357546
Abstract: A motorcycle suspension using an air bag in place of a spring, having a front bag bracket that is fixed to the motorcycle main frame and a pivoting rear bag bracket that is attached to a swing arm of a motorcycle. An air bag is sandwiched between the front bag bracket and the rear bag bracket and is compressed and extended with the action of the rear bag bracket and the swing arm. A shock absorber is mounted in its conventional place and dampens the motions of the swing arm and the rear bag bracket. The air bag is capable of being inflated or deflated by the driver either while driving or stationary. The front bag bracket and rear bag bracket are pivotably attached to the main frame of the motorcycle with a common pivot axis, allowing a scissor like motion, which allows the suspension to react in a conventional manner.
