Abstract: A dyed fabric, and apparel constructed therefrom, that has a high degree of colorfastness and a soft hand, formed by the process comprising the steps of applying dyestuffs directly to a polyester fabric that has been pre-treated with a wicking agent, and fixing the dyestuffs to the fabric by heating the fabric at between about 350 degrees Fahrenheit for between about 90 and 120 seconds, whereby the finished fabric has a crocking index of at least 4.0, and a soft hand.

Abstract: A method for preparing a footing for a foundation of the type for emplacement of a prefabricated building over a pattern of footing excavations, including suspending a block of rigid, but dissolvable material within each footing excavation with a prescribed distance between the lower end of the block and the bottom of the footing excavation, and pouring an unhardened load-bearing material around the sides of and under the block. When the load-bearing material has hardened, the block is dissolved so that the footing is ready to receive a vertical support stanchion.

Abstract: An interchangeable and manually operable embroidery frame for holding an article to be embroidered using automated embroidery equipment having a base plate, and upper clamping member pivotally connected to the base plate, a clamping mechanism for biasing the upper clamping member in closed contact with the base, mounting arms extending outwardly from the base plate, and selectively removable adapters attached to each mounting arm, whereby the adapters enable the clamping frame to be mounted on a selected automated embroidery machine.
