  • Patent number: 6174195
Abstract: A ribbon cable connector is adapted to establish electrical connection with a ribbon cable, and includes an elongated terminal seat and an elongated clamping frame, which is removably connected to the terminal seat and which is adapted to clamp the ribbon cable between the terminal seat and the clamping frame. A ground terminal set includes a grounding plate positioned on the terminal seat, and a longitudinal row of ground terminals, which are formed integrally with the grounding plate. Two longitudinal rows of signal terminals are positioned on the terminal seat, and are located on two sides of the row of ground terminals. A number of positioning devices are disposed between the grounding plate and some of the signal terminals. A plurality of unitary conductive members are interposed between the grounding plate and the signal terminals.

  • Patent number: 6044818
Abstract: A vibration absorbing member is disposed within an annular recess on the side of the connecting rod/bearing cap assembly or alternatively/additionally disposed between the crankshaft main bearing and crank shaft main bearing journal. A vibration absorbing member is preferably comprised of two pieces to fit in a recessed portion of the connecting rod and a recessed portion of the bearing cap to facilitate easy installation. The vibration absorbing member absorbs vibrations between the connecting rod/bearing cap assembly and the crank shaft. Similarly, the vibration absorbing member absorbs vibration between the crank shaft and the engine block when disposed between the crankshaft and the crankshaft main bearing. In conventional single or multiple in-line cylinder engines the vibration absorbing member is disposed on both sides of the connecting rod and bearing cap assembly.

  • Patent number: 6000681
Abstract: A saddle structure for a jack device is provided with a rotatable saddle mounted to the fixed saddle of an extension member of a jack device. The rotatable saddle is retained, at least partially, within the fixed saddle for structural reinforcement. The Rotatable saddle provides an interface between the extension member of the jack device and the object to be lifted. The rotatable saddle is freely rotatable about a central axis of the extension member to allow the jack device to be independently oriented with respect to the object to be lifted. The fixed saddle structurally supports the rotatable saddle and is rigidly fixed to the extension member. Such an arrangement provides an adjustable interface between the jack device and the object to be lifted while maintaining the structural integrity of the interface.

  • Patent number: 5984270
Abstract: The invention is an improved jack having a safety device for preventing the jack from collapsing under a heavy load. The improved jack includes a linkage movable from a lowered position to an elevated position for engaging and elevating a load, an actuating mechanism connected to the linkage for moving the linkage toward the elevated position upon actuation of the actuating means, and the safety device blocking mechanism for blocking movement of the linkage from the elevated position to the lowered position. The linkage is supported and disposed for pivotal movement between two side plates. The blocking mechanism provides an abutment across the two side plates to limit the movement of linkage. The blocking mechanism features a block fixed to the linkage. The block has horizontal bores passing therethrough. A lock rod is inserted through the horizontal bores to provide an abutment across the two side plates when the linkage is elevated, thereby preventing the linkage from unintentionally lowering.
