  • Patent number: 6157503
Abstract: The present invention provides for significantly improved ultraviolet optical filters. This new class of optical filters benefits from improved optical performance, extended physical longevity, high imaging quality of transmitted radiation, transmitted wavelength stability, and minimal autofluorescence. Preferred filters of the invention do not require any sealing from the ambient, are stable, and do not degrade over time and exposure to UV irradiation, and offer superior transmittance for use as bandpass filters.

  • Patent number: 6130278
Abstract: A fine cell-containing polyester film of the present invention comprises 70 to 97% by weight of a polyester and 3 to 30% by weight of a thermoplastic resin immiscible with polyester and produced by stretching at least one direction, the difference in gloss between opposite surfaces of said polyester film being not less than 3%, and a gloss of one surface of said polyester film being not less than 25%. Such a fine cell-containing polyester film is excellent in gloss, printability, transport property and/or flexibility.

  • Patent number: 6120850
Abstract: By using a colored film forming composition, which contains at least an organic silicon compound and chloroauric acid and to which is added at least one type of compound exhibiting the maximum exothermic peak in the range of 170.degree. C. to 250.degree. C., in differential thermal analysis, the precipitation of gold micro-particles on the film surface can be prevented and gold micro-particle dispersion glass can be manufactured in a stable manner. The colored film forming composition of the present invention can thus be used for coating the surface of glass products, especially, windows, mirrors, etc. of automobiles and other vehicles and buildings.
