Abstract: A system for managing the simultaneous operation of a plurality of radio modems in a single wireless communication device (WCD). The multiradio control may be integrated into the WCD as a subsystem responsible for scheduling wireless communications by temporarily enabling or disabling the plurality of radio modems within the device. The multiradio control system may comprise a multiradio controller (MRC) and a plurality dedicated radio interfaces. The radio interfaces are dedicated to quickly conveying delay sensitive information to and from the radio modems. This information may be requested by the MRC, or provided by one or more of the plurality of radio modems, if a change occurs during operation.

Abstract: This invention relates to a device for a continuously operated dilution of a slurry sample, through which device the slurry sample is fed directly into a continuously operated optical analyzer, such as a grain size analyzer. The device comprises elements for feeding the slurry sample, elements for feeding diluting liquid and elements for removing solids contained in the slurry, as well as elements for discharging both the liquid contained in the slurry and the liquid used for dilution. The device of the invention comprises at least one downwardly narrowing chamber (2, 31) that is connected to the analyzer measurement cell (3, 34) so that two opposite walls (10, 32) of the chamber (2, 31) are essentially parallel both with respect to each other and with respect to the respective walls (21, 35) of the measurement cell (3, 34).
Abstract: The invention concerns an elliptical optical module intended for a motor vehicle. The elliptical optical module comprises a reflector intended to receive a light source. The elliptical optical module also comprises a shield comprising at least one support flap and an optically active flap. The optically active flap obstructs at least part of the light rays emitted by the light source. The elliptical optical module also comprises a convex lens intended to receive at least part of the light rays. The elliptical optical module comprises elastic fixing means for holding the shield on a support piece.
Abstract: Provided is an optical element with a configuration in which distortion due to fixing thereof on an effective optical portion can be reduced, preferably be eliminated and an apparatus including an optical element. The optical element comprising an effective optical portion on which a light beam is incident, a connecting portion with a holding member which holds the optical element, and a recess portion between the connecting portion and the effective optical portion. It is configured that force effecting on the connecting portion is attenuated by the recess portion then transmits to the effective optical portion. The recess portion is configured in groove shape, and the effective optical portion and the connecting portion can be configured different from each other in thickness.
Abstract: A headlight for a motor vehicle comprises a light source, a mirror and a transparent optical deflection element placed in front of the mirror, the mirror being capable of cooperating with the light source in order to generate a beam delimited by an upper cut-off line, and the deflection element being capable of providing a generally horizontal spread of the light, without substantially modifying the vertical distribution of the light. This headlight is noteworthy in that the said deflection element has light input and output faces which are continuous over their entire span. It thus presents an appearance similar to that of a headlight of the elliptical type with a lens.
