  • Patent number: 6852651
Abstract: The present invention relates to a semiconductor device in which an interlayer insulating film having a low dielectric constant is formed by covering wiring primarily made of a copper film, and to a method of manufacturing the same. In manufacturing the semiconductor device an insulating film having a low dielectric constant is formed on a substrate by converting a film-forming gas into a plasma for reaction. The method includes forming a low-pressure insulating film on the substrate by coverting the film-forming gas at a first gas pressure into a plasma and forming a high-pressure insulating film on the low-pressure insulating film by converting the film-forming gas at second gas pressure, higher than the first gas pressure, into a plasma and reaction.

  • Patent number: 6848482
Abstract: An object is to provide a liquid-removing apparatus capable of sufficiently removing liquid adhering to packaging material (11). The liquid-removing apparatus includes a packaging material (11) having a projection formed at a predetermined position; first and second squeeze rollers (23, 33) which form a squeeze portion (P1) for removing liquid adhering to the packaging material (11); and an elastic body. The second squeeze roller (33) has main roller portions (53, 54) and a retractable roller portion (55) which retracts when the projection reaches the squeeze portion (P1). The elastic body urges a tubular sleeve (64) provided on the retractable roller portion (55) toward the packaging material (11). When the projection reaches the squeeze portion (P1) during transportation of the packaging material (11), the sleeve (64) is pushed by the projection and thereby decentered, so that the retractable roller portion (55) is retracted.

  • Patent number: 6846259
Abstract: A hydraulic control system for an automatic transmission includes a 3-4 shift valve that outputs a source pressure through a first path for shift speeds lower than a fourth shift speed established by directly connecting an input shaft with an output shaft of the automatic transmission, i.e., third shift speed. The hydraulic control system further includes a clutch apply control valve that outputs a source pressure through a second path at a shift speed higher than the fourth shift speed, i.e., fifth speed. The 3-4 shift valve and the clutch apply control valve serve to interrupt supply of the source pressure through the first path and the second path, respectively, in the fourth speed or the lock-up stage.

  • Patent number: 6835158
Abstract: An automatic transmission has a first brake, a third brake and a hydraulic actuator for the third brake substantially axially aligned in sequence from rear to front in a radially outer area of the transmission. In addition, a first planetary gear unit, a first one-way clutch and a second one-way clutch are provided in an axial sequence from rear to front, in a radially inner area of the transmission. In this manner, component members are mounted with good spatial efficiency in both radial and axial dimensions. Furthermore, because a carrier of the first planetary gear is connected to a third brake through the first one-way clutch, the carrier can be reversely rotated by disengaging the third brake, enabling six forward speeds.

  • Patent number: 6829839
Abstract: An electronic caliper includes fixed and movable caliper arms mounted on a common housing and having jaws at their free ends. One of the caliper arms is attached to the housing through a pivot pin for pivoting motion between a contact position and a disengaged position. A spring engages the movable arm at a point on a side of the pivot pin opposite the jaws. The spring is under tension so as to bias the contact pad carried by the distal end of the movable caliper arm toward contact with the pad mounted on the distal end of the fixed caliper arm. A non-contact electronic sensor is positioned facing a target disk carried by movable caliper arm at its innermost end within the housing. A plunger, located on the same side of the pivot pin as is the target disk, allows the movable caliper arm to be pivoted to its open position to allow for insertion and removal of the soft tissue to be measured.
