  • Patent number: 6796529
Abstract: A strut for propping open the door of an aircraft including an outer tube connected at one end to the aircraft and a telescoping inner member connected to the aircraft door. The inner member is extended out of the outer tube when the door is fully opened and automatically locks in place. The strut can be unlocked by grasping a sleeve mounted on the outer tube, pulling it downwardly while rotating the same clockwise. The strut remains locked until the door is lifted upwardly until it stops thereby unlocking the strut. Lowering the door returns the strut to its stowed position with the inner member received within the outer tube.

  • Patent number: 6715754
Abstract: A device is provided for diverting an imbricated flow of printed products that is transported on a roller table having a plurality of rollers arranged one behind the other. The device comprises an elongated adjustment member whose position can be varied within a sliding plane extending in parallel to a transportation plane defined by the rollers. The device further comprises a plurality of guide elements for guiding the imbricated flow. The guide elements extend into clearances formed between every two rollers and are received on the adjustment member for rotation relative to the adjustment member in a direction perpendicular to the sliding plane and for sliding movement in lengthwise direction of the adjustment member.

  • Patent number: 6651477
Abstract: A process of producing from an elongate tube a tubular structural component having a first longitudinal section integrally connected to a second longitudinal section, the second section being located at the end of the tube and being of a desired cross-sectional shape and size, the cross-sectional size of the second section being greater than that of the first section, the process including selecting a mandrel having a cross-sectional shape and size corresponding to the second section, relatively axially feeding said end of the tube over the mandrel in order to form said second section, the choice of the size of mandrel and the rate of feed and the axial pressure applied to said tube being controlled such that the wall thickness of the second section is on average at least 70 percent of the average wall thickness of the first wall section.

  • Patent number: 4493358
Abstract: Apparatus and method for retaining pleats in hanging draperies including an elongated flexible cord having a plurality of elongated resilient members fixedly secured at spaced locations along the cord, each member including a first mating section interconnected by a fold portion to a second mating section and a pointed end extending from one of the mating sections. A pointed end receiver extends from the other of the mating sections in a direction opposite the pointed end whereby the two mating sections are releasably locked together with the pointed end entering the receiver clamping a portion of one of the pleats of the hanging drapery therebetween. In this manner, each resilient member is secured to a pleat thereby retaining the drapery in a hanging position spacing one pleat from another.
