Abstract: An apparatus and method for extracting juice from raw juice containing material is disclosed. The apparatus includes a supporting housing, a pair of meshing helical gears (2,3) for crushing the raw juice containing material to initially extract juice therefrom and with each helical gear terminating in a tapered screw. A sieve (4) is operatively positioned around the helical gears and each of the tapered screws with the sieve being branched (47,48) with each branch housing at least a portion of one of the tapered screws, respectively. Each branch of the sieve has a terminal end with a discharge outlet formed thereat to enable each of the screws to further extract juice from the crushed raw juice containing material by compressingly moving the crushed juice containing material along one of the branch portions of the sieve and toward one of the discharge outlets formed in the sieve.
Abstract: The invention relates to a flotation column including a plurality of controlled recycle chambers intentionally introduced into the column to cause the non-float fraction or gangue to drop down in the main float stream while the desired float fraction travels in the opposite direction by recycling to continually mix the pulp while coursing through the column. Recycle zones are positioned on the periphery of the main passage or flotation zone within chambers located in series along the column. A portion of the slurry is drawn into a recycle zone where it passes downwardly to return to the flotation zone or the main passage through the column to again be swept through the column.
Abstract: A hydroactuatable high speed spinner for car wash equipment and the like which is characterized by rugged, reliable design. The spinner is driven soley by water pressure, which may be on the order of 1,000 psi, wherein a unique turbine sleeve ensures high speed operation while still providing adequate pressure for scouring and washing by a relatively lightweight spray rotor carried on the sleeve in a sealed spinner assembly. As a consequence, effective cleaning is achieved with minimum water wastage and maximum conservation.

Abstract: A versatile woodworking device for hobbyist or professional use which is rugged, reliable, precise, and portable, wherein woodworking accessory equipment may be selectively and quickly mounted thereto for use therewith, as hand-held circular saws, routers, shapers, radial arm saws, and the like.A pair of spaced rails are provided having a slidable carriage therebetween, wherein a desired woodworking power tool is mounted upon a mounting plate carried by and detachable from the slidable carriage. The tool mounting plate is rotatable with respect to the carriage thereby to position the tool as desired with respect to the workpiece and the carriage, and fixed in position if desired. The carriage itself may also be releasably fixed with respect to the slide rails. Scale indicia means permit precise positioning and repositioning of the carriage as desired with accuracy.
Abstract: A rugged, long-life housing encased power supply unit for CATV systems wherein all electrical components are fully sealed from the atmosphere and wherein further the power supply unit may be uniquely mounted in suspended relation from a cable or the like, while also being capable of wall or post mounting, and providing full protection of the electrical components while permitting necessary heat dissipation.
Abstract: A space-saving boat and automobile parking system for marinas uniquely utilizing a pallet for sequential storage of either a boat or an automobile whereby land and space requirements for vehicular parking are significantly diminished.
Abstract: A towline system for water sports adjuncts, as inflatable devices such as air tubes and the like, wherein the air tube may not only be towed along with the usual tow handle, but may be readily released therefrom at the will of the rider without dangerous bending or stooping of the rider, so that other and different activities and exercises may be performed. To this end, the air tube or like device is secured to a lead from the towline by a foot-actuated releasable catch.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a trench capacitor in a silicon wafer using a photoresist etch back process comprising sequentially depositing an oxide layer, a nitride layer and an oxide layer as a mask layer on the Si wafer and coating the mask layer with a photoresist layer is disclosed. A first pattern is formed by removing a portion of the photoresist layer and a second a mask pattern is formed by removing the exposed mask layer along the photoresist pattern, and then completely removing the photoresist. A trench is formed in the Si wafer along the second mask pattern. A thin doped oxide layer having a constant thickness is deposited outside and inside the trench. The doped oxide layer is entirely coated with a photoresist, thereby filling the trench with photoresist. The top surface of the photoresist is then planarized. The resulting photoresist coated Si wafer is baked and the photoresist deposited outside and inside the trench is selectively etched back.
Abstract: A simple, unique sine bar for facilitating measurement of compound angles characterized by the precise positioning of three spheres with respect to an upper plate upon which a workpiece is placed for inspection and measurement as to accuracy with respect to a compound angle cut thereon. A right angle corner of the sine bar defines an axis coincident with the center of the sphere thereat, whereby a trigonometric solution of the vertical distances defining the angle cut of the workpiece may be readily determined.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for automatic adjustment of the variation ratio for distributing an input rotational force into a low speed power line having high variation ratio, and for combining the two power lines thereby providing an output with stepless variation is disclosed.

Abstract: A connector plate for use with T-posts permitting great versatility in bracing, extending, guying and otherwise enhancing the utility and strength of T-posts. The connector comprises a rigid plate having a minor portion and a major portion connected at an angle which may be oriented variably on a T-post by virtue of unique aperture arrangements, and have other such plates and T-posts quickly connected thereto.
Abstract: A pre-forming technique for web material utilized to make flexible pouches for fluent products comestibles and non-comestibles in form-and fill equipment of well known type characterized by the initial stretching displacement of each web from its normal plane and in a configuration corresponding to the ultimate spout configuration prior to forming of the pouch with the spout therein, thereby preventing undesired blockage of the spout by unintended adherence of the packaging film in the spout zone during sealing operations. The technique is especially desirable in pouches having a unique and complex reversely curved discharge passageway.
Abstract: There is disclosed a full ear protector for beautician use during applications of liquid treatments which may irritate or otherwise cause discomfort to the ear flesh or outer ear canal, wherein the ear canal is protected by a plug while a full ear cover surrounds the ear proper. Absorbent materials on the inside of the ear cover and associated in and with the plug ensure that no unwanted liquids may contact the ear to any significant extent.

Abstract: This rate dependent filter has a two-portion continuous filter function which optimizes noise filtering and minimizes detrimental lag or degradation characteristics. A first portion of the filter provides high filtering for low signal inputs below a first signal value. A second portion of the filter provides for a monotonically changing filter characteristic above the first signal values. The filter is especially useful in non-continuous transmissions, as radio, telephone, musical or other acoustical communication. It may also readily be applied to digital data transmission.
