Abstract: A traveling sprinkler radio-controlled mechanism and warning device which obtains an adequate and controlled duration of watering at opposed ends of a field to be watered while concurrently insuring that over-watering will not occur whenever an unattended traveling sprinkler stops for any reason whatever. A re-settable time delay means is employed which obviates a common deficiency of under-watering at the opposed ends of the field while also preventing over-watering which heretofore occurred whenever an unscheduled stop occurred or where no shut down of the pump was provided for at the far end of the field. Radio transmitter and receiver means are used to transmit and receive a shutoff signal for a pump supplying water to the traveling sprinkler whenever the traveling sprinkler stops.
Abstract: A core holding structure for molds and method of making same. A hollow bushing is locked within a mold so positioned with respect to a cavity in the mold that a rod-like core may be mounted on the bushing to provide a bore for hollow members such as spouts used in the continuous casting of metals. The bushing effects proper spacing of the core from the walls of the mold so that the wall thickness of the finished article is controlled. The mold may be made from a single member or it may be made from a multiple piece mold. Special knock out plate members are used in connection with the one-piece molds to extend the life thereof.

Abstract: A method of and apparatus for collecting overspray materials from an article coating station wherein a velocity differential in the air stream of the duct system employed selectively transports and effects removal of solids from the overspray materials. A secondary filter removes fine mist and powdered coatings from the overspray. One section of the duct system is preferably made from disposable materials and a removable liner is preferably used in a collecting receptacle to facilitate clean up operations after the coating is completed.
Abstract: A trans-abdominal stomach catheter placement system involving an external nasogastric intubation device with a mobile distal end embracing magnetic determination of the device adjacent the abdominal wall and displacement of internal organs thereat to facilitate stomach perforation, of a catheter of the Foley type introduced by means of a needle and having additional external securement and traction means therefor.
Abstract: In bicycles having multi-speed gear arrangements, the automatic shifting of gears in response to foot pedal pressures is effected by fluid or electrical connections from the pedals to the gear-changing mechanism thereby to impart full foot control to shifting with resultant improved pedaling cadence and bicycling comfort.

Abstract: A plastic holder for safety matches or bookmatches which completely enfolds a typical pack of bookmatches and locks in such a manner that it is difficult for children to open and gain access to the matches. The plastic holder is formed with a pouch to receive the pack of matches which exposes the striker area on the pack when the holder is open. The holder requires a squeezing-twisting motion in order to lock the holder around the pack of matches and a reverse motion of twisting and squeezing is required in order to open the holder.
Abstract: Low-level "trickle" electric heater means in diverse forms prevents hygroscopic moisture accumulation adjacent relatively open or exposed ends of refractory-encased conventional electrical heating elements, thereby to prevent excessive leakage current through refractory otherwise potentially conductive with moisture buildup which may present a hazard at such time as the element is initially turned on.

Abstract: A tangential spheres geometric puzzle uniquely formed from nine assembly pieces, of which eight pieces are based upon a triangular sphere array and a ninth piece based upon spheres disposed in a square array, providing a challenging educational and manipulative game. The pieces are assemblable into a tetrahedral pyramid.
