Abstract: A phase change memory device and a method of manufacture are provided. The phase change memory device includes a phase change layer electrically coupled to a top electrode and a bottom electrode, the phase change layer comprising a phase change material. A mask layer is formed overlying the phase change layer. A first sealing layer is formed overlying the mask layer, and a second sealing layer is formed overlying the first sealing layer.
Abstract: A voice activatable system for providing the correct spelling of a spoken word is disposed in an elongated body of a writing instrument such as a ball point pen. The system includes a microphone the output of which is fed to an amplifier analog to a digital converter and from there to a speech recognition program, the output of the speech recognition program is fed to a computer, namely a word processor/controller that includes a data base. The output of the speech recognition is compared with the digital library of words and when a match is found, it is amplified and fed to digital to analog connector. The output of the digital/analog computer is fed to a speaker that repeats the word with the correct pronunciation followed by a correct spelling of the word. The system includes a battery for powering the system as well as an on/off switch and a repeat button for repeating information from the system.
Abstract: A sense amplifier includes a first PMOS transistor, a second PMOS transistor, a third PMOS transistor, a fourth PMOS transistor, a first NMOS transistor, a second NMOS transistor, a third NMOS transistor, and a fourth NMOS transistor. The first PMOS transistor, the second PMOS transistor, the first NMOS transistor, and the second NMOS transistor form cross coupled sensing pairs. The third PMOS and the fourth PMOS transistors serve as compensation transistors. The third NMOS and the fourth NMOS transistors serve as sensing enabling transistors.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of enhancing document security for documents of the type each comprising a print medium on which is printed personalizing information, this printed medium being laminated between two laminates that are at least partially transparent, this method rendering any forging of these documents by ungluing the laminates ineffective, and it is characterized in that at least one additional phantom personalizing image is printed on at least one of the laminates.

Abstract: The embodiments of methods described in this disclosure for trimming back nitride spacers for replacement gates allows the hard mask layers (or hard mask) to protect the polysilicon above the high-K dielectric during trim back process. The process sequence also allows determining the trim-back amount based on the process uniformity (or control) of nitride deposition and nitride etchback (or trimming) processes. Nitride spacer trim-back process integration is critical to avoid creating undesirable consequences, such as silicided polyisicon on top of high-K dielectric described above. The integrated process also allows widening the space between the gate structures to allow formation of silicide with good quality and allow contact plugs to have sufficient contact with the silicide regions. The silicide with good quality and good contact between the contact plugs and the silicide regions increase the yield of contact and allows the contact resistance to be in acceptable and workable ranges.

Abstract: A cement composition is made from a heat activated chemical salt selected from the group consisting of magnesium oxide, potassium oxide, sodium oxide, and calcium oxide and mixtures thereof. This activated salt is the mixed with hydraulic cement in an amount of 2½ to 3½ parts activated salt to one part hydraulic cement and the resulting mixture of hydraulic cement and activated salt is mixed with water and aggregate. In addition, industrial waste may be added to the mix in minor amounts of 5 to 30 percent.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a composition for plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) treatment of magnesium alloy products, which contains a sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution as a main component, the composition comprising, based on the weight of sodium hydroxide contained in the sodium hydroxide solution: 1-20 wt % of sodium fluoride (NaF); 1-15 wt % of trisodium phosphate (Na3PO4); 1-10 wt % of sodium pyrophosphate (Na4P2O7); 1-20 wt % of aluminum hydroxide (Al(OH)3); 1-20 wt % of sodium fluorosilicate (Na2SiF6); 1-10 wt % of potassium hydroxide (KOH); 1-15 wt % of potassium acetate (C2H3O2K); and 1-10 wt % of rare earth metal powder. The disclosed composition can form a firm, dense and uniform oxide film on the surface of a magnesium alloy product.

Abstract: A fire extinguishing system for a floating or fixed roof hydrocarbon or petro chemical storage tank includes an above-ground storage tank having a cylindrically shaped upwardly extending annular wall and a floating or fixed roof on top of the storage tank. The tank also includes a sensor for detecting fire or smoke in the above-ground storage tank and a mass of fire extinguishing materials and a dispenser for dispensing the fire extinguishing materials inwardly across the top of the storage tank upon sensing a fire within the tank. Further, a sub-terrian tank having a capacity greater than the capacity of the above-ground storage tank is disposed below the above-ground storage tank and is connected to the above-ground storage tank so that the hydrocarbon or petro chemical liquid from the bottom of the above-ground storage tank can be almost immediately emptied into the sub-terrain storage tank.

The semiconductor package body or the energy storage element has a plurality of first conductive elements to be electrically connected to an outside device. The shielding layer is disposed between the control component and at least part of the magnetic body to inhibit or reduce EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) from the energy storage element and to get a tiny package structure. The three-dimensional package structure is applicable to a POL (Point of Load) converter.
