Abstract: An improved apparatus and method for making a fast thermal response mold is disclosed. The apparatus has a plurality of rows with each row having a plurality of cavities. Each cavity in each particular row is interconnected by bores to allow a thermal medium to pass therebetween in a serpentine manner. Each cavity has a sleeve fixed therein and adapted to fit a mold. The sleeve eliminates the need for O-ring sealing means utilized in prior fast thermal response molds.

Preferably, the supporting device is designed so that it is folding or collapsible. The supporting device comprises a supporting bar for directly supporting the lifting platform. The supporting bar may be hingedly connected to the lifting device. Also, the supporting bar may have hingedly attached side leaves which together with the supporting bar form the lifting platform.
Abstract: An improved spring with a compression-type, helical spring in which a dowel member is inserted is disclosed. The dowel member can be a solid metal dowel having a length approximately equal to the length of the spring when fully compressed and having a diameter equal to the internal diameter of the spring. The compression-type, helical spring is preferably an encapsulated spring.
Abstract: A mechanism for holding a barrel in a mortar unit having a ring calibrated in relation to the diameter of the barrel is disclosed. The ring has a tightening mechanism for locking or releasing the ring and the barrel of the mortar. The ring also has a mechanism for avoiding an involuntary release between the barrel and the ring resulting from firing vibrations. Such a mechanism makes it possible to change the firing angle exclusively by manipulating the tightening mechanism without the need for disassembling or handling the ring-barrel assembly. The tightening mechanism is made up of a shoe guided in the ring and movable radially to the barrel by a cam activated by a tightening lever. The mechanism for avoiding an involuntary loosening is made of several pressure washers which press against the shoe. They exert a pressure which can be be regulated by a screw. Several springs are mounted in the screws of the pressure washers and counteract the firing vibrations.
Abstract: An improvement in the appearance of golf balls is disclosed. The "clear coat," i.e. the transparent coat which is the last put on to the outer surface of the golf ball, has included in it an optical brightener, preferably one selected from the group consisting of stilbene derivatives, styryl derivatives of benzene and biphenyl, bis(benzazol-2-yl) derivatives, coumarins, carbostyrils, naphthalimides, derivatives of dibenzothiophene-5,5-dioxide, pyrene derivatives, and pyridotriazoles. Substantial improvements in appearance of the golf ball are obtained.
Abstract: Breechblock with firing pin for mortars, which has barrel (1), breechblock (2), and base plate (3) united as follows:(a) barrel (1) to breechblock (2), using at least one key (8) accomodated in key seat (11) of barrel (1) and provided with holes (81) into which pins (8) are inserted; and at least one screw (7) accomodated in a threaded hole (21) of breechblock (2), said screw (7) defining two coaxial zones in its body, one of greater diameter of external treading (71) which is attached in breechblock (2), and another of smaller diameter provided with perimetral neck (72) in which pins (9) positioning key (8) are accomodated;(b) breechblock (2) to base plate (3) with possibility of turning in space, using positioning head (26) in the end of breechblock (2); support flange (4) over platform base (3); cover rib (5) attached by screw (20) over support flange (4) and which holds rib (6) in it, into which said head (26) of breechblock (2) runs.
Abstract: This invention discloses a volatile insecticide emitter having the construction wherein volatile insecticidal plates each formed by impregnating a plastic absorber with dimethyl dichlorovinylphosphate as an insecticidal component are juxtaposed in an inner space of a box-shaped container, an air filter is disposed at one of the air holes of the container communicating the inner space with the outside of the container and a motor fan is disposed at the other of the air holes so that the insecticide emitted inside the container is compulsively emitted outside the container.

A procedure for execution of a cementing operation.
Abstract: A golf ball with improved distance is disclosed. The golf ball has a relatively low spin velocity coupled with a particular dimple number, diameter, depth and arrangement. The ball is characterized by a lower flight trajectory and longer total distance. The golf ball has 384 dimples .+-.3% and the dimples preferably have an average diameter of 0.145-0.155 inches and an average depth of 0.0103-0.0123 inches. The golf ball core can be either thread wound or solid. The cover can be transpolyisoprene or an ionomer. The materials of the core and cover are selected so that the golf ball has a spin velocity below 2900 rpm when hit at 230 feet per second by an implement having a face angle of 13.degree. with respect to the vertical. The dimples are substantially evenly spaced over the surface of the golf ball, and the dimple depth, diameter and number are interrelated according to the following formula:[554.3(d-x)-37(D-y].sup.2 +[138.6(D-y)+926(d-x)].sup.2=Swherein:d=average dimple depthD=average dimple diameterx=0.

Abstract: A door blocking device comprises a bar, which extends along the edge of the door jamb, and a formed section for housing the bar, which formed section is fast with said edge and so shaped as to allow the bar to move, with only a small amount of friction, under the control of an actuating member, between a door blocking position and a door releasing position. The bar is equipped with means for returning it to the blocking position, and the actuating member drives it against the returning force in order to bring it in the releasing position. The blocking bar is equipped with a locking device comprising an elongated flat rod which, by a pivoting movement under the action of return springs, takes up a slanted position behind the bar and locks it in the door-blocking position. The bar actuating member can drive said bar back to the releasing position after controlling the retraction of the flat rod by means of a bent lever pivoting through the bar.
Abstract: In the zone of coupling between the reflector body and the battery body of the signal, the general switch is accommodated, and connected with it is a displaceable element that follows the operating motion of said switch, so that when the latter is in the on position, the displaceable element opens the vents of the battery situated on the upper face of same, and vice versa.
