Abstract: With reference to FIG. 1, the present invention provides a method of manufacture of an automobile structure comprising the steps of: forming in a die a plurality of castings (10) each having at least one socket (14); forming a plurality of metallic rails (12, 13) and fixing the metallic rails (13, 14) in the socket of the castings (10) in order to construct the automobile structure. The present invention also provides a method of manufacture of a plurality of different automobile structures, the method comprising: fixing metallic rails of a first plurality into sockets of a first plurality of the castings to form a first type of automobile structure; and fixing metallic rails of a second plurality into sockets of a second plurality of castings to form a second type of automobile structure. The invention also relates to automobile structures made by the methods.

Abstract: A retractable blade knife with an opening assisted mechanism has a handle, a blade mounted in the handle, an extending assembly mounted between the blade and the handle. At least one detent formed at a spine edge of the blade. The extending assembly has a positioning frame, a slider mounted beside the positioning frame and attached to the blade and a spring attached to the positioning frame and the slider. The positioning frame has a resilient rod selectively abutting the spine edge and a proximal end of the blade. The blade should be pushed manually a certain distance to allow the spine edge of the blade to push a rear end of the resilient rod outwardly. When the detent of the blade and a lock protrusion of the slider both depart from the resilient rod of the positioning frame, the spring may further pull the slider to move together with the blade to stretch out the blade.
Abstract: With reference to FIG. 1, the present invention provides an internal combustion engine (10) comprising a variable volume combustion chamber (13); an air intake system (18,20,21) for delivering charge air to the combustion chamber (13); an exhaust system (17) for relaying combusted gas from the combustion chamber (13) to atmosphere; and a fuel injection system (19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26) for delivering fuel into the charge air for combustion therewith in the combustion chamber (13). The fuel injection system (19,21,22,23,24,25,26) comprises a fuel injector (19) which functions as a positive displacement pump and dispenses an amount of fuel which is fixed for each and every operation of the injector (19); and a controller (23) which controls the operation of the fuel injector (19). In. response to an increasing engine speed and/or load the controller (23) increases in amount the fuel delivered per engine cycle by increasing in number the occasions the fuel injector (19) is operated per engine cycle.
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a method of enhancing a fuel value for a used or waste lubricating oil, lubricating oils having improved combustion and emission characteristics, and a business method for distributing and using waste oils as components of primary combustion fuels. In one embodiment, there is provided a lubricating oil composition having improved combustion and emission properties when burned as a used lubricating oil composition. The lubricating oil composition includes a major amount of oil of lubricating viscosity and a minor combustion improving amount of a combustion improving additive.

Abstract: A hook device for coupling with a universal pole such as a utility pole or hot stick performs a plurality of functions including at least physically engaging a component of a utility device. Abstract: A fully formulated lubricating oil, lubricated surface, and lubricant additive concentrates for lubricants providing reduced sludge formation. The fully formulated lubricating oil composition has therein at least one succinimide dispersant, a metal containing detergent, at least one antioxidant, and a hydrocarbon soluble titanium compound. The lubricating oil has improved sludge reducing properties compared to the same lubricating oil composition devoid of the titanium compound.

The card includes a core card stock made of a material having a recycle code of less than about 5. Variable indicia is printed on the card stock. Abstract: Targets, a target range system, and methods for economical operation of a target range. A preferred method includes providing a target range site; providing a target resembling a conventional target in dimension and appearing, yet having a weight that is substantially less than the weight of the conventional target. The target has a plurality of interconnecting plates made of recyclable material and is devoid of hazards comprising munitions, fuels, and radioactive materials. The ingress and egress routes for the target are reduced as compared to routes for conventional targets and enable cost savings. The targets are also readily recycled, enabling additional economic advantage.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for installing an adjustable height drain onto a conduit in a layer of hardenable material. The drain includes a grate member adjustably connected to and in fluid communication with a base member. A connection member connects the grate member and base member and is adjustable to allow the elevation of the grate member to be adjusted in relation to the base member. The reaction product is a copolymer obtained by reacting together i) an acylated alkylacrylate copolymer having a number average molecular weight ranging from about 5,000 to about 500,000; ii) a hydrocarbyl acylating agent having a number average molecular weight ranging from about 500 to about 5000; and iii) a compound selected from the group consisting of (a) a polyamine; (b) a polyol; and (c) an aminoalcohol to provide a functionalized polyalkylacrylate copolymer. According to the reaction, a mole ratio of component (i) to (ii) ranges from about 1:10 to about 5:1.
