Abstract: Spherically polymerized polyolefins can be advantageously stabilized by being treated with at least one emulsion or dispersion containing a stabilizer or a mixture of stabilizers and an amine of formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 alkyl which may be substituted by --OH, or is C.sub.3 -C.sub.50 alkyl which is interrupted by one or more oxygen atoms, or is C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkoxy, and each of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently of the other is hydrogen or has one of the meanings indicated for R.sub.1, or R.sub.2 and Rphd 3, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, form a 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic ring.

Abstract: A material to which there is applied a polyamic acid ester obtained from aromatic tri-or tetracarboxylic acids which contain benzophenone groups and organic diamines is suitable for producing protective coatings or relief images. After it has been irradiated, the material can be subjected to a heat treatment to convert the polyamic acid ester into the polyimide.

Abstract: Substituted succinic anhydride or succinate stabilizers of the formula I or II ##STR1## where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently alkyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl or aralkyl, R.sub.3 is hydrogen or methyl, R.sub.4 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or phenyl, R.sub.5 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkylthio, arylthio or the structure ##STR2## and R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 are independently hydrogen, alkyl; aryl or substituted aryl are useful as stabilizers for polymeric substrates, particularly polyolefins and rubber.
