  • Patent number: 8312575
Abstract: A protective crib liner for a child includes a full protective liner configured to surround an inner length and height of the crib and to wrap-around a top perimeter portion of the crib. Up to eight fasteners may be affixed to the liner to secure it to the crib. Tethers attach child development items to the liner and extend through the liner to tie around a portion of the crib. The items are attached at various heights to stimulate the child's mind, motor functions and senses. A pocket hanger attaches to the top of the liner and hangs on a top perimeter of the crib to secure the pocket hanger and the liner to the crib. A method facilitating the child's development includes attaching the development items inside the liner at various heights the child may reach thereby encouraging the child to move up, down and across in the crib.

  • Patent number: 8266810
Abstract: A system and method for quick and accurate tramming are disclosed. The system includes an apparatus comprising a plurality of indicators spaced apart in a plane perpendicular to a body shank and connected thereto, the body shank configured to be received into the spindle. The system also includes a calibration device configured to temporarily remain fixed in place on the mill table to provide a single point of calibration for each indicator received in the apparatus. The method includes calibrating the indicators one at a time by positioning an indicator shank tip atop the calibration device and adjusting the indicator to read a calibration value common to all the indicators. The spindle is moved toward the mill table until at least one indicator tip touches the mill table and the mill head is adjusted until all indicator tips touch the mill table and all indicators read the same value.

  • Patent number: 8108268
Abstract: The disclosure enables a buyer to beat an advertised price and make a deal and a donation via a network by specifying at least one of a product and a service desired for purchase by the buyer, calculating a price range from a real-time network search of a comparable advertised product or service and making an offer to at least one registered seller based on a graded price from the price range comprising the seller's asking price. Furthermore, the disclosure transacts a deal between the buyer and a seller and transfers a difference between the graded price and the seller's asking price to a charity or a third party of the buyer's choice. Also, a loss difference to the seller between the seller's asking price and a graded price may be donated to a charity of the seller's choosing from the seller's proceeds and a difference with the graded price.

  • Patent number: 7976529
Abstract: A high flow volume nasal irrigation device for alternating pulsatile and continuous fluid flow includes a segmented dip tube with a free end extending inside a squeeze bottle configured to convey a liquid under an elevated chamber pressure from a reservoir therein to a lower pressure outside the bottle. The device also includes an elastic segment at the free end of the tube configured to oscillate about a bending in the segment in response to a differential pressure between an internal pressure and the chamber pressure, the segment having an elastic restoring force in opposition to the bending. The disclosed device further includes a pulsatile portion of the elastic segment configured to close at the segment bending and to reopen under the elastic restoring force and to thus generate a periodic pulsatile fluid flow through the tube with a period corresponding to the elastic segment oscillation.

  • Patent number: 7862094
Abstract: A container scoop and scraper device operable by a user's fingers and opposing thumb of one hand forms a container around a grasped object or material. The device includes a first arcuate scoop adjoining an elliptical right side to an elliptical left side along a minor arc on both sides, a front edge of the first scoop forms a scraper. The device also includes an ergonomic concave pocket to receive the user's thumb and extends the width of the device. Similarly, a second arcuate scoop is configured to adjoin elliptical sides along a major arc, and form a second scraper. An ergonomic convex pocket receives the user's fingers and also extends the width of the device. A hinge adjoins the first scoop to the second scoop and disposes the first scoop sides adjacent the second scoop sides to form a closed rigid container around a grasped object or materials.
