  • Patent number: 4441277
Abstract: A prefabricated door assembly which includes a panel, a pair of jambs and two combined headers and thresholds. The jambs and combined headers and thresholds form a rectangular frame into which is fitted the door panel. The panel is pivotally hinged to one of the jambs. Each combined headers and threshold is adapted to be mounted either upon a foundation or under an overhead support, depending upon the vertical orientation of the panel and location of the door hinge.

  • Patent number: 4419256
Abstract: A composition for insulation which may be used for reducing thermal transmission, for absorbing sound waves and for providing a fire spread barrier, and which may be sprayed on surfaces in relatively thick coats. The composition includes a blended mixture of cellulose fiber, mineral wool, boric acid and expanded silicate glass. The blended fibers are mixed with an adhesive and sprayed on a surface to be insulated, and the adhesive preferably is a fire retardant, nontoxic adhesive which remains flexible after it has dried so that expansion or contraction of the insulation or the insulated surface will not result in cracks in the insulation.

  • Patent number: 4350070
Abstract: An electronic music book for simplifying the storage and retrieval of musical scores in which a control panel operates electronic memories to locate a song in the memory for a musician's reading thereof. Optional modules may be added to the memory to expand the lilbrary of songs stored by the book. A variety of additional features may be included in the music book, such as audio playback of a selected song, tempo and rhythm control, and a temporary memory for musical works entered through a musical keyboard in the control panel. The book is adapted to be attached to a music stand and may be battery operated for portable use or permanently connected to a source of A.C. voltage.

  • Patent number: 4168611
Abstract: A system for controlling the acceleration and/or deceleration of a mechanical power drive having a rotatable power output element and a rotatable reaction element with a hydraulic or pneumatic brake mechanism connected thereto, in which a motor drive pump or other pressure creating device is connected by a fluid pressure line to the brake mechanism, and a bleed line with an electrically controlled valve therein is connected to the fluid pressure line for relieving the pressure delivered by the pump to the brake mechanism. An electrical system responsive to the rotational speed of the output element of the power drive controls the pressure creating means to control the acceleration and/or deceleration rate of the output element. An accumulator and a pressure responsive relief valve are preferably included in the system to assist in regulating the pressure delivered to the brake mechanism, and a dump valve and overload control device are normally included in the system.
