  • Patent number: 6755977
Abstract: A method in treating aqueous feedstream in diverse plant site environments is disclosed for improving filter flux rates, cleaning filter media and prolonging useful operative life of media. In preferred embodiments the method is provided with steps for contacting, reacting, pressurizing and equalizing ozone and feedstream within a central area or multiple areas and sustaining high pressure throughout the system to achieve qualitatively and quantitatively improved permeate products, and reject for recycle. The method and system provide an improved cleaning and processing system characterized by an ozone-concentrated, homogeneous single phase liquid conversion of a generated ozone gas mixture and a feedstream source containing organic and inorganic pollutants. The method improves and monitors ozone oxidizing power and reflecting ORP values, and provides further media cleaning and improved oxidation reactions for attack on pollutants on each cycle/recycle operation.

  • Patent number: 6687720
Abstract: A grade list and averaging, hand-held calculator is disclosed for use by teachers and others in quickly determining the numeric grade of a test-exam, or equal parts constituting a ‘whole’ to be analyzed, and the average of past numeric grades. In the determination of the numeric grade of a test-exam, for example, the calculator allows the entry of the total number of problems on the test, and, corresponding to this total number of problems, displays first and additional lists of potential numeric percentage grades correlating to respective first and additional ranges of problems wrong within the original number of problems on a test entered into the calculator. Each of the first and additional lists are displayed simultaneously as multiple numeric grades, one after the other on the display of the calculator. In one embodiment, ten potential grades are viewed simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 6125694
Abstract: An audibly reporting and contemporaneous pressure-relief, automatic tire assembly is disclosed for use in interaction with preexisting valve core stems on a tire of other vessel or with conventional tire rim inflation holes. The assembly of the invention has a channeled valve body having a moving inside pin, and communication from within its channel to a sound board emission port having check-reed position groove at its other end. A pressure-sensitive arc-like mechanism is provided, fabricated to provide an inwardly closing force equivalent to a preselected pressure limit desired for a respective tire or air/fluid-pressured container. This mechanism is mounted in relation to the valve body and supported by a hollow and ported collar so that it seats and exerts closing force against an exposed portion of the check-reed which sits and can move within its position groove.
